The lady owner (I guess) is very aggressive sales person. You will go for repairs but she will try to sell you the new machine. I am not saying that she is always wrong but I have a feeling that she does push her salesperson skills more than solving the problem for customers.Also, if you ended up buying from the store, make sure you understand in detail about what is included in warranties. It is important as one can easily get surprises when you are least expecting. Good location for the service though.

I would NOT recommend Vacuums R US for any service or repairs. If you are considering this place for anything, PLEASE read the negative reviews. You will notice that there are consistencies in the complaints..The carpet brush for my Dyson was not working properly so I brought it in. I thought that I would give a local company my business during this pandemic. They told me that they would call me before doing any work. I received a phone call from them within 30 min. (I question if it is really possible to do a thorough assessment in that short of a time) I was told that they would clean & service my machine & change the filter. I agreed to the work trusting that the problem would be resolved and went to pick it up a few days later. After trying it out at home I encountered the same problem. I brought it in again, Ed unscrewed the carpet brush & said that there was some residue interfering with the sensors & probably affecting the performance. He tested" it on his worn out thin indoor/outdoor carpet & said that it was working fine. I took it home & had the same issue. I brought it in a third time & told them that I was STILL having the same problem. They told me that this machine is not intended for carpets...!!??!! Really! A Dyson with a carpet brush not intended for carpets...!!??!! They both began to yell at me stating that they have been in business for 40 years & they knew what they were doing. I told them that the carpet brush was not picking up properly as it had done in the past. Ed then said that it was an old machine and wearing out. That was the first time that I was informed that my machine was wearing out. I was charged over $140 for a machine that couldn't be repaired & now doesn't work at all! If indeed they have 40 years experience

Came in to the store on May 29, 2021, to buy a residential vacuum cleaner. Received a friendly greeting from the staff, and was asked what type of flooring was in my home. When I described the flooring, I was pointed to a beautiful Miele vacuum cleaner that I would love to own, but was unfortunately out of my price range. When I gave my price budget to the staff, I was very impressed that I was not pressured into the higher cost vacuum, but was instead shown an alternative Electrolux machine. I could not be happier with the experience, and recommend everyone in Edmonton to visit this store the next time they need a vacuum cleaner.

Was very disappointed when I tried to return an item and the clerk said all sales are final. There is a very little note on the receipt at the bottom. There should be a sign in the store and the clerk should point that out. The clerk was rude. Won't shop there ever again!As it turned out the owner of Vacuums R Us contacted me and refunded my money and I was able to return the product. She was very helpful and much appreciated. I would definitely shop there again. Thank you so much Harb!

Great service and very attentive, knowledgeable owners. I have been shopping for my Meile needs here for 15 years at least. Every time I come in I am greeted with a warm welcome and leave with what I need after great service.In fact, I once bought a Meile liquid laundry soap that had some sort of particulate at the bottom which neither of us noticed as I bought 3 and when I mentioned it to the owner at a later stop in the store, she immediately gave me another bottle free- without even asking me to return the other bottle. Now that is how to treat the customer and they do it well. Good job Vacuums R Us! Keep it up!I buy and get my vacuums serviced there and I would not hesitate to recommend Vacuums R Us to anyone.

If I could, I’ll give 0 star. Pay 30 dollars for estimate, and tell me my vacuum battery broken which will cost 150 or more, but the screen in vacuum works great. Then I went to other store for free estimate! They tell me just trigger broken, 20 bucks to fix it. This store do nothing but just want to take you money first, then give you a reason to pay more to them

I was so impressed with the sales lady who sold me my new Drainvac unit. I live 1 1/2 hours away and I was going to drive in to purchase one but she explained to me which unit would be a great purchase for my home and was very knowledgeable with the units they had in stock. I ordered it over the phone and it was here the next day. The Lady was so nice and was wonderful to do business with. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be dealing with them in the future. Thank you so much.

I am not exaggerating when I say that my customer service experience at Vacuums R Us is the absolute WORST that I have ever experienced. I’m also not exaggerating when I say that the customer service at Vacuum Central is among the best I’ve ever had so read my positive review for them to learn more.I recently brought my Miele vacuum to Vacuums R Us (they're an authorized Miele repair centre as is Vacuum Central). My problems were that the hose wasn’t staying properly seated in the bag while in use (resulting in dust/debris filling the canister area), part of the plastic edging on the wand had broken off, and the dusting brush kept coming apart.Right off the bat I got nothing but pushback from Susan, the salesperson at Vacuums R Us. After I described the problem of the canister area filling with dust/debris, Susan said that obviously the problem was that I hadn’t properly inserted the bag into the bag holder. I explained that I had properly inserted it but she was having none of it–I was the problem, case closed. Susan also said that the vacuum was making an odd sound (likely dirt in the motor) and would need servicing.When I showed Susan the wand with the broken edging, she kept replying: “But the vacuum still works.” I kept explaining that yes, the vacuum still works but the edging just unexpectedly broke off, and that I wanted to make a warranty claim for the wand and the dusting brush (my vacuum is less than 1 year old and there’s a 10 year warranty on the vacuum, and a 5 year warranty on the accessories).Susan then took her pushback to the next level (which I didn’t think was possible). She told me that Miele’s customer service is lousy, they rarely approve warranty claims, their claims review process is slow and they’re even slower at sending replacement parts. After I insisted, Susan finally agreed to talk to her boss about making a warranty claim for the broken wand and the dusting brush.About 1 week later my vacuum was ready for pick up. Susan told me they’d fully serviced/cleaned) the motor and canister for a total of $80. When I asked about the warranty claim for the broken wand and dusting brush, Susan just gave me a blank look. It turned out she had forgotten to talk to her boss and she again really resisted submitting a warranty claim. When I insisted on making a claim, she took some blurry photos of the wand and emailed them to her boss. She that I should hear back from them (Vacuums R Us) in a few weeks. Susan flat out refused to make a warranty claim for the dusting brush because she said it was fine and basically said that I was the problem.It’s been 5 weeks since and I haven’t heard back from Vacuums R Us. I obviously haven’t followed up with then because I have absolutely no interest in subjecting myself to more of their God-awful customer service. Since then, I’ve taken my Miele to Vacuum Central and had nothing but top-notch excellent customer service from them, including a new wand and dusting brush from Miele, all under warranty. Furthermore, Vacuum Central also opened up my vacuum and lo and behold, the motor area was still full of dust, fuzz balls (I saw this myself). Vacuums R Us didn’t actually do anything to service my vacuum other than vacuum/wipe out the canister and then have the gall to charge me $80. I’m not going to ask for a refund because life is too short to deal with con artists like them.Based on replies from the owner of Vacuums R Us to other bad Google reviews, I fully expect them to say that I'm lying, that they’ve been in business for 40+ years, that they have great customer service, blah, blah, blah. My reply is that I have nothing to gain by lying about my terrible experience with Vacuums R Us, other than to beg everyone to avoid giving them any business. I’ll also be telling Miele about my experience and about all of the bad things that Vacuums R Us said about them.
