Foxy and Friends

Was visiting MTL and Sarah and Geoff took my bulldog puppy Cowboy for day care on a short notice. They sent me updates through the day and were excited to share stories. When he came home with me, he was incredibly sleepy and I could tell he had a fun filled day.

We brought our beautiful 7-pound maltipoo to Foxy and Friends for the first time last week. She came back happy, with beautiful grooming. Sarah called us after to check-in to see if we were happy. It is obvious that this is a family-run business and they put their heart into it. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last! I attached a photo of our little Daisy post-grooming :)

Great place for dog grooming and housing. Both my dogs really enjoy going there. Sarah and Geoffrey take such good care of them.

They gave my Miso a wonderful haircut! And clearly Miso was very comfortable with Sarah, even though she’s usually super shy around strangers. It does take a bit long (3 hours for her), but I was happy with waiting especially because they made sure Miso wasn’t scared. Overall very great!

Had my bernedoodle puppy have her first groom and it went amazingly! They really made an effort to make sure she was comfortable with the whole procedure and she came out looking awesome!

Brought my dog for nail cut at last minute. Owner is very nice and made sure my dog was calm before starting. Sent me pics of him playing with her dogs in their backyard. Only downside is you have to wait outside as this seems like it's a personal residence. I was hesitant at first when I handed my dog over but was reassured with the great reviews on their website.

I've had a very bad experience at this groomer and was very hesitant at first to write this review. I however thought it would be important to warn other dog owners for the grooming service.I was very excited at first to try Foxy and Friends. I read good reviews and had a nice first contact with Sarah over the phone.However, I was surprised to see that everything was done in their appartment and not in a commercial space. That part didn't really bother me at first - except when I showed up, Sarah came to get my dog outside and never offered me to show me the grooming space. She didn't ask me any questions about what I wanted and didn't ask if there was anything she should know about my dog. I kindly asked her to not cut the ears too much. She then left with my dog, in this unknown appartment i have never seen. It was around 1:30pm.My dog is a small and easy dog. Usually, grooming her takes about an hour. By 6pm, she still wasn't ready. I ended up insisting that she brings back my dog aroung 6:45pm. She had cut up all her ears and had 2 different wounds (one on the ear and one on her neck) caused by the grooming.Sarah also never told me that my dog had a severe otitis - which was well noticable for someone who grooms dogs. When i went to the vet later that week, the vet told me her second ear was also very irritated, probably due to the lack of care during the ear wash at the groomer.The grooming service was very expensive - and it was a very stressful experience. I do not recommend it at all.UPDATE : On the same day i wrote the review, Sarah called me to apologize. She offered to either give me a credit on other services Foxy and Friends offer, or to give me a partial refund. I thought that was very sweet of her and thanked her. When I accepted the partial refund, she asked me if I could remove the review. I kindly told her that I wouldn't remove it, because I feel like owners of reactive and/or anxious dogs should be aware of the way they work - I explained that I mostly wanted dog owners to be able to choose a grooming service that fits their dog's needs. Although their way of working may suit some dogs with an easier temperament, I believe it is less suitable for a dog with special needs.Although our phone conversation was very respectful, I was never able to get the partial refund Sarah had offered me. It's been three weeks now.I am very disappointed with the finality of all this: It shows me that Sarah does not have the wellbeing of animals as a priority, but the image of her company and the money she makes from it.

Saw them for the first time with my 8 months old cat. Only saw Sarah . She was really sweet taking my baby Kiki. My cat came out beautiful not distressed and smelling really good . Definitely will be back
