My favorite place in all of St John’s, went there every day for over a month to get the day started, great breakfast sandwich and grilled cheese sandwich with bacon, friendly staff, free wifi

A great place for a great cappuccino. I’ve been here a few times now and never been disappointed. I do have one issue though, anything you order (drink or food) be prepared to wait! Staff are super friendly but super slow!

I was quite excited to eat here after reading such good reviews and seeing how popular it was. I wasn’t super hungry as I don’t typically eat breakfast so I just ordered a grilled cheese. After ordering, it took about 30 mins for our full order to come out and by the time everything came out at the same time, our bagel and sandwich was cold while the grilled cheese (which should have been the easiest thing to make) was hot. Kinda disappointed as the food wasn’t anything really special and quite expensive for the amount of substance.

Absolutely love this place! I went yesterday morning and got a scone and a brownie and a latte and lover it. By the way the scones here are amazing! And the latte are is fantastic. Staff are so friendly. I was served by the manager Greg he was so friendly. Would highly recommend the battery cafe

Very quirky, eclectic atmosphere. I loved the randomness of the items placed around the cafe and the hand- drawn menus. It looks a lot smaller than it really is as they have a whole other area in a lower section with great views of St. John's harbour. The coffee and tea were great but the sandwich bread was a bit dry and crumbly though the ham was perfect. The only criticism I could offer wo be that the staff could offer a bit more warmth". We were very excited to eat here especially since we are visiting and not from Newfoundland but we were a little disappointed. Ordered coffee and latte which we got first, the latte was great, then waited quite a bit for our bagels with butter which once received, was a mini bagel to my surprise. Maybe it was just us but we thought what we paid for and what we got was a little too expensive. But it’s a nice little place!

Coffee was delicious. For those who really like a strong coffee to kick things up a notch after a good hike try their cortado. Good selection of wraps, sandwiches and breakfast option along with the usual fair you would find in a good coffee shop. Seating is limited inside as is parking along the side. They have a small outdoor patio area and they sell local items such a homemade jam, coffee, tonic, chocolate, local art, shirts and mugs. Prices are higher than a chain coffee location but quality is superior. Good option if you are a coffee hound and like a cool ambiance to enjoy your cup of joe.

Such a neat café with a cool vibe. Sat on the patio and enjoyed some delicious baked goods and a coffee! Highly recommend stopping in here!
