Very cozy cabins. They are clean and stocked with everything you need. The space is very accommodating. We have a group of 8 and we all had comfortable sleeps. It was not damp or musty like many cottages. The deck is nice and spacious. The BBQ is huge. There was lots of hot water for all of us to shower in the morning. The location is perfect because your close to the major attractions and also close tithe 401. The fire is very far from the site, but it's all for good safety. They also supply the fire wood, which most places charge. All around super good experience. Would highly recommend this place. One of the better cabin trips my family has had! Definitely check this place out!

Enjoyed a wonderful tour of this hidden gem. Lots of maritime history here, much of which ties into our local history.

A portion of the model ships can be viewed in a small living area that has been converted into a show room. There are many handmade ships to see, but their close proximity makes picture taking difficult, there are only a few displays that you can actually walk around and view from all angles. Most cases are lined up, end to end, lining the walls and halls and could easily fill a 3 storey museum if they were spaced properly. The cramped space made it difficult for me to truly appreciate each piece properly, let alone all the reflections on the glass made for a dim view.Until the renovations/expansion has begun and are completed, this space is not wheelchair friendly, even those using a walker may find navigation difficult as there isn't even much room for two people to pass easily in the narrow 'corridors'.I was careful when walking and turning around, not to knock a display with my camera case - there just isn't enough room - and I felt like a bull in a china shop. I'll be back to visit, when (if) they ever expand the museum into a proper venue.

I did not know this existed. There are plenty of Fantastic wood models on display. Love the old mast ships. These ships are worth seeing, some as long as 4 feet. What great works of art and skill.
