Buy-Low Foods
I never shop at Buy-Low Foods but I needed to get some last minute coffee cream so I stopped in to get some but I failed to look at the expiry date. It expired yesterday. This will be my first and last time shopping at Buy-Low Foods!

Nice store, sure the price is a bit high but I'm fine with that. What I'm not fine with is some of the cashiers. It's hit or miss with them. Some are nice and others, well, read a comment about racism on one of the reviews and I truly hope not but that is how I feel sometimes shopping here. They will sit there and chat with those that are Caucasian but what I witnessed and experienced myself with those that aren't; they will simply bag your groceries, chuck your receipt in the bag and be done with it. No eye contact or even a thanks. Remember, this is only a few cashiers here, not all. Not looking to get anyone fired or even in trouble but a little 'friendly' customer service goes along way; just saying.

Store is always clean. One younger tattooed employee with long nails and dark hair... You should try smiling!! Last time you rang me through, you were involved in a conversation with another staff member discussing boy issues while I just stood there stuck listening to it until you finished ringing my stuff. Better saved for after work. Prices aren't very good on most items. My main gripe about this place, food expiry dates. Always finding things on the shelves that aren't rotated and are past the expiry date. The tortilla/pizza crust section is often terrifying for this reason. I find expired items on shelves every trip while shopping. It's a pain to have to check the dates on all my groceries. Shouldn't have to, given that I'm paying not very good prices and I'm sure it's employees jobs to rotate and remove expired product from shelves.

The current staff are very nice, items are well arranged and stacked. May be not a whole lot of variety but adequate enough. All kind of food items can be found here. Prices are some cents higher or sometimes lower, but less crowdy and great experience makes up for that.

Buy-Low Foods
Although I appreciate their store hours until 9:00 pm at night for the convenience of customers in the vicinity, this buy low store has more looking customers than buying customers, for they actually sells high - higher than other stores of its kind. I live nearby and would really like to be their patron. Unfortunately, the price they set disappoints me from time to time.

Awful customer service. The place was empty with only 3 employees working. Products that were advertised on their flyer didn't exist. I tried to get some help but the Supervisor just left me talking to the wind. I will never come back.

Prices that are at or above other grocery stores, ridiculously low selection with little to no sales items. This place really doesn’t have any right to exist. It’s clean, that’s the only positive thing I can say about Buy low foods.

As always, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the produce is top notch, and the fresh selections from the deli, bakery and butcher are superb. We were asked twice if we needed any help finding something or had any questions. We didn't, but the attentiveness was greatly appreciated.
