STANLEY BARK - Grooming Daycare Home Board No Sedation Dog Teeth Cleaning

I am thrilled with all the services I have received at Stanley Bark, both the amazing daycare and grooming. The daycare is extremely well run and great care is taken to ensure that every dog is in a happy and healthy environment. As my puppy is quite young, they took him on a half day trial first to make sure he was going to fit in well and be compatible with the other dogs in their care. Now as soon as I approach their location, my puppy is pulling enthusiastically at his lead and he can't wait to get in the door! Thanks Jade for looking after him so well, and giving me a much needed break when needed!After taking my puppy elsewhere for grooming before I heard about Stanley Bark, he had one terrible and one so-so experience. After one grooming with James at Stanley Bark, my puppy has seriously never looked so good. What's more, James is very knowledgeable about the breed (a Portie) even though they aren't really common. As a result, we could have a meaningful discussion about what we wanted to achieve from the grooming and he explained what is typical for the breed. Further, he knew exactly how to handle their behaviour patterns which can be challenging and stubborn (but also delightful!)I urge anyone looking for a great daycare environment where they can leave their dog knowing they will be extremely well cared for, or an excellent and very knowledgeable groomer to go to Stanley Bark!

Such a perfect spot if your pets are traveling with you and you need a place to look after them. We usually stay at the Westin and super close by and convenient. Staff was super friendly and they even sent pics of our little Brussels griff :)

The owner works well with the dogs. They are calm and well cared for. My dog was there for grooming and she was clean fluffy and happy. Me too

Have been taking our dog here for 6 months and she loves it so much. The people there are awesome, take great care of our dog and she always comes home happy and exhausted from playing all day. Recently got her groomed there for the first time and she looks great and was super comfortable. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately I had a negative experience taking my 6mos. rough coat russell terrier puppy to Stanley Bark for one of her first grooming experiences. First of all, I chose to go to Stanley Bark specifically since they advertised being terrier specialists and experience with hand pulling and was very clear both in my initial emails/screening with the office, as well as when I dropped her off that she had only been groomed a few times before by her breeder and myself. Unfortunately when I came to pick up my puppy James said it did not go well and that she was scared of the clippers - well hello! Red flag - she has never been clipped and was not supposed to be clipped. Clipping ruins the hair of this type of coat, so now not only do I need to restore my puppies trust and experience of going to a groomer, but I need to grow out and work to restore her coat. Very annoyed with this experience when I feel I was quite clear with what our expectations were. I guess word of advise for anyone who wants to go to this groomer, be explicit with instructions and if you do not want clippers used, be sure they understand and confirm they will not use clippers.

This place is the best for grooming! Local, friendly, and reasonable value. James and the crew really care about dogs, and it shows. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Had a wonderful experience at Stanley Bark! My Husky, Luna, can be a beast to groom but they did a spectacular job -trimmed in all the right spots and came out feeling so soft and fluffy, looking gorgeous as ever. They were exceptionally fast at communications and I appreciated them contacting me when they had a cancellation so we could get in earlier! And they had her in and out of the shop in 2 hours! Amazing work! Thanks James and team!

My dog loves her time at Stanley Bark. I take her there for day care when I am at work. She wags her tail at like 100 wags per minute when we arrive in the morning. The staff sends photos at the end of the day so you can see what your dog got up to. I have not used the grooming service so I can not speak to that, but the staff at the day care are very nice people and my dog loves it.

James is SO friendly and always does such a good job with my doodle. When I moved to the neighbourhood I asked everyone with a doodle where they went and they all recommended Stanley Bark and now I definitely know why. Never had a bad cut here!! Also easy to book in - would definitely recommend.
