Probably the best overall restaurant meal we have ever had and we have traveled a lot. They are great with food allergies too, and we have a few of them. HIGHLY recommend.

My feelings towards this are a bit all over the place. They have a good atmosphere, and great live music. When I was it was pretty busy, and service was a bit slow. The table next to me got their appetizers before I did even though I ordered when they just sat down.The Oyster Rockefeller was worth the wait though, it was amazing. I then got the pulled pork sandwich, lobster wontons and muscles which also took even longer than the apps.Overall I was in there for about 2 hours, twice as long as my typical dining stay so that was disappointing. The sandwich was very bland, the muscles were nothing special at all, but the wontons were definitely amazing. A bit pricy at $15 for 3, but they tasted great.I'd go back to the Rockefeller and wontons.

Went there with my family, we had a delicious meal! Not a massive menu but that's not a bad thing, good selection of beers to match the food. Good service and when there was a problem it was quickly fixed.

The best lobster roll I have had in Nova Scotia. It was made with whole lobster, a lot of places only used lobster claw. The lobster was cooked just right so that the tail meat was still tender, when I bit into the roll I didn't pull out a tail section because it was too tough. It was worth the drive for their lobster roll.

My family had the best dinner during the trip in Cape Brenton. We enjoyed all the food, especially the beef ribs. Highly recommended.

I am newly eating gluten free and was surprised to find that the fish and chips were made with rice flour. It was absolutely delicious! Handcut fries with seasoning, homemade coleslaw and tarter sauce. The service was excellent and attentive. Ambiance was cozy and comfortable.

Worst service and food in the Maritimes.It was Sunday night and the manager warned us it might be 45 min for food. Fine, no problem, there was live music and we could have some drinks. It took almost 1.5h for any of the food to show up, in which time we were checked in on once.When the food arrived, only 4 out of the 5 people in our party got their dishes. Worse, the waitress didn’t even seem to question or comment on that. The food that did arrive was bland and not particularly enticing, definitely not worth one of the higher price points we’ve seen here.Finally, when everyone else finished eating, it became clear the final dish wasn’t arriving so I asked them not to bother and just give us the bill.The ghost dish did somehow manage to show up on the total so had to ask for it to be corrected. No discount on the rest of the meal or even as much as a biscuit so I wouldn’t have to walk out hungry. Luckily the lovely hosts in our B&B left out some cookies so I didn’t have to go to bed on an empty stomach.We’ve seen the positive reviews so it was a natural choice for dinner. Sadly walked away with the biggest/only disappointment in our otherwise great 2-week trip across the Maritime provinces.

What a sweet little bistro! Stopped in craving something sweet and some coffee. Left with the most amazing blueberry lemon scone I’ve ever had, and a lovely americano. Great service, beautiful ambience. Perfect little stop.

We choose the Clove Hitch as our first meal out post covid. It was a great choice. I had the fish and chips, my wife had the club. Both were excellent. The fries were delicious too. The rice batter fish was crispy but not overcooked. The kids meals were great too. Both of them cleaned their plates. My daughter insisted we take s picture of her kids fish and chips along with her thumbs up opinion after the first taste. We had a mint chocolate ganache tart for dessert that was also exceptional. Do yourself a favor, if you're in the area stop by, you'll be glad you did.

One of top restaurants in Cape Breton in my books. We came here Sunday after Chestico days. Unfortunately the debit/credit machines were down and we only had limited cash so had to be sparing with what we ordered however we were very content with our burgers made with local ingredients and hand cut fries. Staff here are a real treasure, management is very lucky to have such skilled and caring staff in this day and age. Recommend to all!! Nice gift shop next door too
