New Dynasty Buffet
Good food and selection. Not so great owner/manager (?).My mom's a disabled senior on a tight income. She's been coming here for years almost monthly for a takeout box. It's one of the few things she can afford to buy to treat herself. She absolutely loves the food, most of the staff, and she's ALWAYS talking it up to anyone and everyone. She tips, compliments the staff on their work, and is polite to everyone.She brings her friends here for lunch, buys her family takeout containers for celebrations. My mom's a literal superfan.Due to medical issues; she can only eat tiny amounts at a time, so she's never been able to stay and dine in, but she loves getting her takeout box and having a couple meals from it.The owner/manager (older lady) over the last year has become increasingly rude to my mom. She knows her on sight, and will come away from whatever it is she's doing to follow her around the buffet table, mutter to herself, and get irritated that my mom takes a little more of one thing or another than she thinks she should. I've watched her take my mom's takeout box and close it for her - or tell her she's not allowed any more - BEFORE it's even full.When my mom leaves; her box closes. That's the rule, along with not taking only a box of one item. My mom respects that.But it seems like the owner/manager gets upset by the fact that she has a regular customer? I'm not too sure. But I've watched her with other customers; she doesn't behave this way with people who dine in or take out, just my mom (and me if I'm with her). I've watched others walk out without their takeout box even close to closing, and this lady doesn't say a thing.Yeah sometimes her box is a bit full; it still closes completely.My mom has tried buying a second small box, buying an order of her favourite (ginger beef) and then filling her takeout box with other stuff, tipping more... Nothing seems to appease the owner/manager.This past week was the last straw. The owner/manager got mad that a drop of red sauce got on the metal table of the buffet from my mom's takeout box as she closed it. Meanwhile I've seen kids trash the buffet table, or careless people scatter food all over, and she doesn't get mad.My mom came home so disheartened. This place is her absolute favourite but she's been going less and less because she doesn't want to deal with this woman. This owner/manager shames her in one way or another every time she comes.My mom pays the same (usually way more with tip) as everyone else. Why can't she enjoy a packed takeout box like anyone? You'd think you'd be grateful to have a repeat customer who brings in so many others to your restaurant.You've lost a regular customer. I'll be finding my mom a new buffet. She doesn't deserve to feel ashamed just for going to her favourite place.

I am shocked at the reviews here. My family and I have a 5 star review. We ordered for delivery and everything was fresh and delicious. I guess to each their own but our delivery order was delicious and our sweet and sour pork was still crispy and hot when we received it. We will be ordering from them again!

The food was mediocre at best. For dessert it's wafers, some kind of roll and deep fried pastry covered in sugar. The spare ribs were tough and not a lot of options for the buffet.Won't be back

NONE of the waitresses smiled, not once! The whole place looked and smelled so dirty. It needs a reno badly! The wonton soup was super doughy, tasteless and under cooked, so disappointing... The food was so greasy and salty, my god My husband and I went thru our ONE glass of water in minutes! There was a young man working there that was super friendly and he smiled!!! I dont know how this place is staying in business...

Last WeekendOur Family Visit to The Restaurant for Buffet.My Choice was to Taste all Dishes WOW We loved it.Each Dish has Juicy and Good Taste.Their Customer Service Was Excellent. All the Smiles we got from Professional food handling Team.Best Food of Calgary.Even atmosphere was great.We did order few Times from home. they have best Home delivery Service.We Knows Online Order not helping more Expensive.So we Preferred to call Directly Restaurant.Over all We Enjoyed our Family Time.

The food is NOT fresh. The washrooms are discussing and watch out and be forewarned, they WILL steal money when you pay. Even when you confront them about it they will show you a small sign stating you must pay an extra 10% of your bill for a tip. Without permission this is called theft. See pictures attached. They refused to refund this so called tip.DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!

The food was leftover from lunchtime. We went for dinner to the restaurant with great hope for a delicious dinner. Some of the food containers were almost empty, holding pieces of dry and barely warm food. Vegetables were dry, dumplings were hard. We should have checked before we sat down.We will certainly look for another restaurant.

I would have given this place zero stars if possible. A lot of the food was cold, not in the least bit fresh, and the service was non existent. We got a pitcher of water and a pitcher of pop at the beginning of our meal and never saw a server again. Multiple dishes we tried to use had dried food on them. The state of this restaurant is deplorable, run down and just plain disgusting. The floors, washrooms, and general state of the place should be addressed by a health inspector. We had to go up to their weird food prep counter to get more napkins and chopsticks, which seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff. Half the restaurant had the lights off and my family was uncomfortable going to that side of the restaurant to use the washroom. The food and desserts all look like they came out of a box or package and for a Chinese food place in a big city, was some of the worst tasting garbage I've ever had the misfortune of eating. To top it off we were chased into the parking lot when the server forgot to bill us the correct number of people. Skip this absolute disaster of a restaurant and go anywhere else.
