I wanted to try something new and stumbled here. The fish was just a normal cod with some crispy garlic and dried bean mix on top. The taste is not bad, but it is on the expensive side.P.S. Had the Sliced fish with dried bean

Great food as always. Had a quickie lunch here and ordered the house special beef noodle soup. My friend ordered the 3-cups chicken combo (with rice and side dishes). Both dishes were excellent and I highly recommend this place for a casual meal. We also ordered the charcoal tea and that wasn't anything special. I would recommend most of their bubble teas as they do a great job. FYI this place is cash only!

It's your typical Taiwanese cafe food. Food quality is ok but I wouldn't say any of the 3 dishes we tried were super special. Good for a quick bite/drink or casual meet up.

Pearl Castle Cafe
The dishes here are a hit or miss and the quality is not consistent between visits. This time around we ordered the Scallion Beef Slices and the House Special Beef Noodle Soup. Both were okay, not great. One particularly bad part was that the beef in the soup was quite tough.

Uncomfortable seating as a result of squeezing an extra booth seating in the front. Homeless guys watching you from outside require storefront treatment. Poor quality ingredients making mediocre food. I would only come here for old time sake with old friends.

Tasty food! Loved the fried oysters. Hand cut noodles delish. Szechuan chicken a bit food courtish. Prices a tad high for comparable food. Went during the snowstorm and it was quite cold inside.

Pearl Castle Cafe
I didn't expect this place to be as bad as Pearl Castle Cafe in Richmond Center. The paper cups used for water were dusty. The fried chicken cutlet was soggy, and the side dishes were all cold. The winter melon tea had such a faint taste that it was barely noticeable. I'm surprised how a restaurant like this can continue to stay in business.

The taste of 3 cup spice chicken and the Kung Pao chicken I ordered were VERY disappointed. It didn’t taste any wok aroma, just taste like chicken with sauce from supermarket sauce aisle. The taste was super flat. I was expecting wok fried aroma and this was none. Taste is 1 out of 5 star. The pop corn chicken is fine. Overall I WILL NOT come back. Better go to the pearl castle in Richmond. I really doubt if the cook was trained to have same quality as the one in Richmond. The service from one of the mid age Asian lady was bad too. She has no smile and talk like I don’t care about you.
