Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport

We stayed here twice, 3 years apart, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The kids had a great time at the pool, we enjoyed eating in the hotel restaurant. There are a lot of restaurants places nearby, too, it's easy to take the shuttle to the airport to rent a car there and drive around the south end. One of the children's favourite and least costly meals was going to a nearby Costco for pizza, poutine (! at Costco!) and sausages.Rooms are huge, staff is friendly, parking lot is large AND FREE (in early 2023), we preferred staying here to downtown.

2023 May 3★Fairly large rooms with decent ceiling height.The Bed is comfortable.Conference areas for business guests. Pool and gym also available.You'll find that the rooms are far from the elevators. It's not really designed very well in that aspect with long corridors.Restaurant downstairs. Free shuttle to and from the airport.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights so there is quite a bit to share!First the good! Our twin bedded room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I asked for feather pillows and various other things to make our 7 day stay more comfortable and everything was supplied. The air conditioning system is great! Not too noisy, not too anything and easy to operate! I did ask on check in to make sure we would be in a better position and room, considering the length of our stay, especially with consideration to noise and I was assured it was a great location ( on the 2nd floor).The housekeeping and maintenance staff were very helpful.So now the not so good! 3 of our 7 nights we had noise disturbances late into the night. One night I didn’t get to sleep until 4 am.I was also unimpressed by the service of some of the front desk staff - to be fair, the staff were very very busy at the peak times. There just didn’t seem to be any desk manager making sure that guests felt valued and we certainly didn’t get any Hilton honour points perks.The restaurant is a bit hit and miss, again the staff didn’t seem particularly welcoming!

Right at the airport. Super nice when you come in on a late flight and don't want to do much driving. Get a good night sleep here and head out in the morning. Even though it's close to the airport, they've made it very very quiet. It also has a nice restaurant on site. Just note that the car rental companies at Ottawa airport tend to close at 11:00 p.m. but there is a shuttle you can take to the hotel at night and then back to the airport to pick up your rental car.

Before making this review, I stayed in this hotel a total of four times to ensure a balanced review.Each and every time, the staff at the front desk were courteous and nice. They welcome you and attended to your needs quickly and efficiently.The hotel itself is great. Love the fact that there are two sets of elevators on either sides of the building. This way you don't have to walk all the way down and around around the hall when you are in a room further away from the main elevator.As such we parked on the other side and leaving was a breeze by exiting the side door to load our vehicle.The buffet at the restaurant is good, there is something for everyone and if you want something in particular you can also order from their a la carte menu. On Canada Day, they buffet had pancakes and French toast which are normally a la carte menu items. Lots of options.My only issue with anything there has always been the apple juice.....it is sickly sweet. Like drinking pure sugar (in my opinion) so I have to dilute with water before consuming.The rooms are generous in size. This last visit there was a wet bar which was great as we ordered in some dinner and the space came in handy.The beds are very comfortable. We are big on hotels and always before settling in we wipe down and check all the rooms we stay in for bed bugs and general cleanliness. Room check passed with flying colours.We wiped the floors in the bathroom and when we turned over the cleaning pad to check, not a shade of dirt which ensures us their room attendants do an amazing job.We were most impressed with the shampoo/conditioner situation in the bathroom. Nice big bottles attached to the shower walls and bathroom sink. This is how it should be done instead of those dinky small bottles that creates waste.Speaking of room attendants and staff, everyone was very polite and friendly. They always greeted you as you walk by.Great stay and as long as the rates are reasonable. This will be our main Go To hotel in Ottawa.

A great place to stay. I was enroute through to the Yukon and needed a place close to the airport with shuttle service. They came through in spades. Restaurant prices a little high, that is to be expected. I would willingly recommend it to friends.

It was less than 5min from the airport. The room met my family's needs perfectly. It was very spacious and I was not harassed or asked any questions for having my service dog along. Would definitely recommend.

I was visiting family that stayed at this Hotel. They stayed in a very large corner room with couch, desk and lots of windows. Complimentary snacks in the room were appreciated. The hotel looked clean, and it was quiet while I was visiting there. Lots of parking at the rear with an entrance for hotel guests. We had a nice dinner downstairs in the restaurant where the hockey game was on TV. Short walk to the EY Center and short drive to the airport

By far this is the WORST hotel I’ve ever been to. The front desk staff are rude especially the girls that work there. Very immature and unaccommodating. The service is extremely slow. The beds are squeaky. The room was old and out of date. I will never return.I would rate this hotel a 1/10.The location is good but that’s about it.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and clean, the customer service was friendly and helpful and the hospitality was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
