Jasper Photo Tours

Mike was an awesome wildlife and photography guide. He was respectful of wildlife while also providing the opportunity for some great shots. He was patient and gave helpful photography tips without being overbearing. We saw grizzly and black bears, deer, and elk in just a couple of hours. Truly a wonderful experience.

Wow!!! One of the best investments and fun times ever with my camera! Mike was super friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful and crazy talented! I learned so much (about photography my camera, Jasper, astronomy, etc.), saw things I have never seen before, and had a lot of fun! Highly recommend to all!(I did the 2 hour night tour that Mike stayed beyond that to help us.)

I went on the Night Photography Tour as a beginner photographer and captured my first beautiful shot of the Milky Way! Mike is such a great teacher! He showed me some places to capture nice pictures in Jasper, provided recommendations for camera lenses best suited for nighttime photography, also showed some phone apps that are educational and would assist in planning, helped to set my camera up and explained the reasoning for each setting, and gave me some astronomy tips. I know so much more about my camera and it’s capabilities after my lesson with him in a couple hours. In addition, he has a very calming energy and is very patient, which is super important for newbie photographers like myself. Was such a relaxing tour - learned a lot (not in an overwhelming way), had fresh mountain air, and captured some beautiful images of the stars ✨.

Mike is an excellent, knowledgeable, great guide who pays attention to our interests, is very thoughtful, and doesn’t watch the clock. He paid special attention to our 18 year old photographer son giving him great tips and took us to many beautiful spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. Excellent commentary about local history and affairs. We booked four tours with him and they were all different. All around great experience. Can’t recommend Jasper Photo Tours enough.

Had a great time with Jasper Photo Tours, I did the wildlife and waterfall tours and had a lot of fun. Mike was a great guide and teacher making sure I came away the best photos possible. I will definitely be back for more tours and workshops in the future! If you are interested in photography and want to capture Jasper's beauty, you will not be disappointed.

We called the day before and mike was very accommodating. We did not know what to expect, but got a very informed photo tour in the Jasper area. Mike was very helpful, and can teach you anything from a simple photo tip, to a technical discussion on photography. He is a very personal conversationalist, was generous with his time, and went out of his way to ensure the best wildlife sightings. I highly recommend!

Great wildlife photo tour with Mike. I researched several of the larger wildlife tour groups, and this one was definitely geared towards photographers (hobbyists or skilled). Mike offered good suggestions and tips for camera settings given the location, weather, and composition. The larger tour outfits seemed more suited for phone photographers shooting through windows.If you are serious or even semi serious about taking good photos and getting personalized attention for photography in and around Jasper, I highly recommend booking time with Mike and Jasper Photo tours.

I was recently in Jasper for vacation and photography. Mike was an excellent and very friendly guide who showed my family and me around the area. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the park and the surrounding areas. He gave me some great tips for shooting and on the wildlife tours I took, when we weren't taking photos of wildlife, we were shooting landscapes. Though we didn't get to shoot them, he remained on call and aware of the northern lights activity. He gave us places to stop along our trip down Icefields Parkway. If you're looking to learn about photography or see the many beautiful places Jasper has to offer, Mike is the guide you want.

Highly recommend going on a tour with Mike. He is a very talented photographer and will help you get the best images you can possiblly get. His knowledge of the landscape, wildlife, and best photography locations is second to none. I enjoyed my morning trip so much that I spur of the moment signed up for his night tour as well and I am so glad that I did!Mike if you are reading thing, I hope your business continues to grow as it deserves to, and I will see you soon on my next visit :)
