Mission Memorial Hospital

when I went there last night surprized to only wait an hour an a half. I never been to this hospital. The staff was nice The doc was very nice. Keep up your hard work and keep treating you clients with paitence and kindness.

This is my second time at mission hospital. My first experience was phenomenal!! Loved the staff. This second time around was for our baby. We were in ER and our nurse, who I had no idea was our nurse. She was the worst nurse we have ever experienced. Her name is Caity, I only know her name because I asked. She was rude and unprofessional. She walked in the room and first thing she says, Does your baby still have that thing on the foot?" ... I said who are you? She replied "the nurse" and walked out quickly. 1.5 hrs later I asked if she could give me a chair because I was sitting on a stool hunched over for a 1.5 hrs. She said "no

Waited 6+ hours at in ER actively bleeding from my hand, asking for more gauze every ½ hour, finally got in, asked the doc 3 times to clean it. He told me to wash it with water and soap after he numbed it, tried my best while my finger was hanging off and bleeding. He struggled to put 6 stitches in (3 ripped thru 2 hours later) I asked again about cleaning and he said a nurse would when she packaged it. 45 min later, still bleeding and holding my gauze in place. The doc walks in with another patient and says, Oh your still here?" A nurse then came and said she would not clean the wound it would bleed more. Ended up going to a GP and getting antibiotics the next day."

No health system in BC, waiting for 5 hours is the minimum wait time do not know why they call it emergency ‼️. Govt. just know how to take tax, may be if these hospitals comes under corruption, than staff do have focused on there duties. Lots of staff but still not helped and they are just talking to each other, they don’t bother to take patients.

The staff are generally friendly enough..I was cared for well. However, I found the intake nurse to be quite loud and unprofessional as to keeping discreetness to others privacy and their situations. She even made fun of a young man who was clearly in alot of pain on his backside.This hospital is too small for the amount of growth in this town I waited 5 hours to see a Dr. And the waiting room was still packed when I left at 10pm. I hope there in plans in place for a new hospital how can anyone expect staff to be running ragged everyday and get people hey care they need.

Sitting in ER with my partner she is actively throwing up on the floor/in garbage cans. And is being ignored. Took me getting up to tell the staff her condition. Horrible hospital the unit clerks/nurses would rather talk about “diet pills” and weekend dinners. There are definitely a few hard working nurses her but the rest is just embarrassing to the medical industry. Do not go to this hospital unless it is a must…

I unfortunately ended up in emergency in the last two weeks. I received the utmost care by all the staff. The first visit I informed the nurse I felt sick and she immediately took me into another area and had me sit in the reclining chair, started an IV and gave me a gravel shot. The nurses came to check on me regularly and the doctor was really good.

If I could give 0 stars I wouldDO NOT GO TO MISSION IF YOU OR ANYONE HAS A COUGH. I speak for 3 patients that were turned away or did not get a proper diagnosed.We got excuses like it's flu and cold season. You'll child will get over it.This isn't a covid testing center

My husband was very ill this past weekend and we needed to bring him to the Mission Hospital emergency room. He remained for over 24 hours while they cared for him. It was a little scary and from the beginning the staff were all so kind and professional. I called twice as I could not stay and was given clear and kind communication from the emergency room nurses. My husband got great medical care and we were able to return home. Thank you so much to the admin, nurses and doctors.

Frequently use this hospital for my Mom's care. All the staff and Doctors are first rate... thoughtful and professional. The lab tech crew are particularly patient and supportive, often in the face of difficult clients. Well done Mission Hospital staff!!
