The express lunch was just that, super fast delivery of our food. It was hot, the chicken was crispy and the potatoes were yummy.The ice in the drinks are mini cubes, which I love. The server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.We arrive arrive 1pm. I would say that is you arrived around noon, the place would be full and there might be a wait. As we came just after, there were lots of people paying and numerous empty tables waiting to be cleared.We were seated within a few minutes of our arrival at a freshly cleaned table.

Nice clean restaurant with lots of seating, parking and a drive-thru. The staff is friendly and courteous. The service is fast and accurate. The menu is quite extensive with a number of local features and all-day breakfast. This is a great place for larger groups too as they have a large private area.

Every town in Manitoba says their's is the best Chicken Chef. While Arborg might be a strong contender, Portage surpasses it. Go look at the specials on Monday alone and you will see what I mean. Great quality, generous portions, good price.

I have been here several times and it's always been good, however this time it definitely wasn't!! The waitress never smiled once and was very rude. My friend had coleslaw that was really saturated with dressing and when she told them they said the chef thought it was fine although I had to spit it out when I tasted it!! When we got to the till and told them that both the service and coleslaw were not good they didn't even apologize! This was the first time in my life that I didn't leave a tip!!

This Chicken Chef is the best one I’ve ever been to. I’ve been a number of times and the staff is fast and attentive. I had the two piece fish and chips, the fish fillets are quite large, I’m a big lad, and the two piece is more than sufficient. Mother had the Hawaiian salad once again.

Absolutely Disgusting they promised me a hot chicken sandwich first off it Wasn’t hot but cold it was half a sandwich I wasted $14 of this food which was absolutely Terrible don’t waste your money here

I got the buffalo chicken wrap w a poutine. For some weird reason they added mad bacon to it and I don't eat it nor did it say it came w it. They made me a new one. Only issue other than that great food great prices and great service.

Dine in service is good. Chicken was little salty. Onion rings was delicious. Only problem that I notice is we don't get bucket chicken for dine in. Its only available for takeout. I believe for a group bucket chicken should be more perfect to share some enjoyable moments. And the main thing.. Large pieces of chicken.. Goodd..
