Only deserving of one star. They reach out to you when you apply and shower you with nothing but compliments at the interview and tell you how marketable you are, only for you to pay almost 2 months worth of rent to create a portfolio with only their photographers or a published photographer that they agree to, then you need to pay hundreds and hundreds for your call cards (which a lot of casting agents do NOT use anymore). In almost a year of being signed to a contract, I was submitted for 4 auditions.All they could tell me when I applied for their agency was how my racially ambiguous look and long hair meant I could be submitted for a number of projects and I was “highly marketable”. My agent showed me all the bookings I could be submitted for before I signed on and paid thousands of dollars. Again, I was only submitted 4 times after the fact.I went to the required acting classes, and at the end, was told I have a lot of potential and a “Johnny Depp” quality, that could be further perfected with more classes. I was absolutely interested! Only to learn that would be a couple more hundred dollars, hilariously.They say if you don’t do your weekly check-ins three times, you will automatically be released. Towards the end of my year-long contract, I stopped doing the check-ins as I was getting no submissions. Interestingly, after nearly 6 months with no check-ins, I was still submitted for bookings and no one from MAX reached out to me to terminate or ask why I wasn’t checking in.Today, I received an email stating I was released from MAX. They clearly make their money by on-boarding tons of talent and having them pay all of this money, rather than actually making most of their money from their talent landings jobs.I’ve had more success submitting myself to roles through a casting platform, where I only pay $30 a month for worldwide auditions. I’ve gotten more work submitting myself than MAX has gotten for me in a year and paying them THOUSANDS of dollars.A total scam.Go for a more legitimate agency that actually puts in the work to find talent and get them jobs, rather than this “agency” that will sign on anyone and take their money and give them false hope.

I've been with Max Agency for a little bit now and everyone is absolutely amazing! Agencies of course work best when you show them you have the drive to achieve your goals/dreams. And Max Agency recognized my drive and passion, providing me with the knowledge and tools I needed to succeed.

Max agency has been very helpful. Very friendly staff, they will be able to guide you through each step of the way. I am still waiting for an audition as I'm in the process of getting my photos ready, but fairly confident about the calls. Definitely recommend.

I found Max Agency through a repeated advertisement on Instagram. I took a chance, which was way out of my comfort zone, and responded.They got back to me within a week and guided me through the process, seemingly aware it was a little awkward for me, they were very supportive.Meeting in person again seemed a little surreal but Nika was an absolute professional and made sure everything went very smoothly.Their support has continued and I am now feeling very confident about taking those first steps when I submitted an application!Nika has explained in great detail every step so far and as I'm moving along to a new Max Casting Agent, I'm really looking forward to seeing where this takes me!The experience at Studio West has also been super fun and have made some new friends along the way, while learning things at the same time!If you're thinking about getting into this industry, Max Agency will certainly help you get going!!!

Being a new sign on with Max Talent Agency, they have been very professional and detailed in what the process is. They encourage you to continue to practice and get better at your craft. The beginner training classes were fantastic. Alec the trainer was great!
