Convent Park Apartments

This is an apartment building. Owned by a very bad man. He is a Slum lord. He breaks all the laws that are placed for the rights of the tenant. For Example: Myself and Many many others have been illegally evicted, some of us given no reason. Myself, I was NOT given any kind of notice, neither by verble or by a written. I had gone out that mid-morning to go to a young woman's home that had just gotten out of hospital, from having a c-section. I was there to help her clean her home and help care for the new baby. I was away from my apartment for approximately 6 hours. When I arrived to the building, my door faub would not work. Some other tenants not knowing either, opened the door for me. I then accessed the elevator up to my room #308, I got off at floor 3 went to my apartment only to learn that when I pushed my key into the door lock it would not turn the lock. I had been locked out. Locks changed. He had illegally entered into my apartment. Couldn't evict me for non-payment of rent. As my rent was always paid. Instead tells me that I had the wrong type of people in my home*. First

Lived there for over 8 years, luckily I got out of there! Stay far away from this dump of a building, it's full of weird shady people. Homeless crackheads live in the stairwells and roam the halls at night trying to get into people's apartments, its kitty corner the homeless shelter so there are always TONS of these people hanging around. A lot of mentally unstable people live there, I've seen several people get hauled out of there in straight jackets...seriously, all the whack jobs from the hospitals get sent there to live and you see tons of workers for these people always in and out of the building. I found out after I moved in that the owner has a deal with Alberta mental health to have these people live there, all mainly on the first floor in bachelor suites sans stoves...ya they are crazy enough that they aren't allowed stoves! Cars get vandalized and anything not bolted down gets stolen, mail boxes regularly get broken into and the lock on the front security doors to the building is always broken. In my time living there I saw the glass in the front door get smashed out numerous times. I NEVER FELT SAFE! I always kept a baseball bat by my apartment door and rarely slept at night! I was only there as long as I was because I couldn't afford to move, finally it got so bad that I had no choice but to leave and I rented a U haul. Living on the street would probably better than living in that building! The building is always filthy and hot to the extremes even in winter, and smells really bad. Worst building I've ever lived in!! Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy...STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE!!!!
