Great collection of books and children friendly area!

Library is decent and lots of programs. Front desk staff unfortunately don't like taking book returns at their desks. Fail on customer service.

Looking forward to improving my rating when things improve. It's currently not a functional library... its a lending depot. There are no places to read, or sit for that matter.

Great place to spend some time looking through books, magazines, DVDs, Internet, kids area, and so much more!

Oh my gosh. So nice to go back to the library. As with many other vaunted institutions, the pandemic has caused some scaling back of the physical spaces. In this case though it's a nice compromise that feels like a careful curating of space, as opposed to a reduction of resources. Hopefully this integration of physical and digital worlds can be further improved over the coming months.

Beautiful, new library. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Many interesting programs for big and small.

I don't mean to sound bitter, but what happened to libraries? When I was a kid, a library was a place to read quietly, learning about the world in an atmosphere of quiet interest. Now, it seems, it's a place (that's rarely open) where you go to check your facebook, gossip loudly with your friends, and permit your young children to run around yelling.The Saanich Centennial Branch is no exception. It's a physically appealing library, with a decent number of workstations. But it's overrun by people who seem to view it as a place to loudly talk on cellphones. It's a shame.

I love taking my kids here. It's huge I can always find what we're looking for with no issues. It's a multi level library it has washrooms and change tables for infants. It has a small play area for the toddlers and young children to play while you search for your next adventure story. This library also holds functions and other certificate granting days , such as for the low income they have an ID clinic once a year so those who can't afford a new identification card can have a chance at re-gaining one to help them move forward with their lives. I've gone to a couple of them myself and I enjoyed it greatly. They have washrooms on both floors for male and female/ child.its located in the center of downtown Victoria . It also can cater to live bands since the entrance is completely covered outside they offer every newspaper available in the lower communities. I love it here and definitly recommend going to take a look for yourself. Oh and there is underground parking. Which is paid parking most of the time. And there is lots of street parking if you would rather park above ground. :)
