I couldn't be happier with my experience using Dr. House's services. It was a relief to find out my dog could have her TPLO surgery performed at my local clinic. It was convenient and I didn't have to take the entire day off work. It was much more affordable than taking her down south and I really appreciated being able to continue to support my local practice. As a fellow veterinarian and practice owner, the level of care and customer service I received was on par with what I strive to give my patients and their owners. It was nice to be on the receiving end of that. I would recommend his services to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

We were referred to Dr. House by Dr. Moody of Cumberland Animal Clinic last February (Dr. Moody is Casco's usual vet). My rescue dog, Casco, then just two had cleanly torn his right ACL and needed TPLO surgery. Dr. House works very collaboratively with offices like CAC and does the surgery in-house. I loved the transparency between both doctors, and meeting with them separately, while knowing care during and after would be seamless! Unfortunately due to Casco's breed later this year Casco had a partial left ACL tear and needed the same surgery again. We utilized Dr. House again and were just as pleased with timing, how efficient and yet caring he is, and obviously how Casco is healing!I might add Dr. House either meets/ calls you right before, immediately after, and has thorough notes for post-care to go over with him or your usually vet - excellent care!

Our 11 year old lab Jack was in need of urgent Lar Par Surgery for Laryngeal Paralysis. Dr. House was able to travel to our vet's office in Portland quickly to perform the surgery after Jack went into respiratory distress. He was very calm and explained the surgery in detail to us and ensured we were comfortable and understood everything. He obviously loves animals and his attention to detail and ability to put owners and pets at ease is essential. 3 days post surgery and Jack is a new dog. He is recovering well, tail wagging, and breathing well.Jack was diagnosed in December 2016 with a moderate case of Laryngeal Paralysis, we opted to wait for the surgery as we didn't want to put him through an unnecessary procedure, our one piece of advice to dog owners with pets with Laryngeal Paralysis do not wait, this surgery immediately improves animals quality of life and is life changing. Our boy Jack was in severe distress a week ago, it was a race against time to get him to the vet and luckily Dr. House and our Vet at Brackett Street were able to coordinate surgery quickly. Jack is now happily breathing and anxious to get back to chasing seagulls on the beach.We are so grateful to Dr. House and team for their wonderful care of Jack, and ensuring he will enjoy his senior years.

Our 3 1/2 year old Lab/Shep mix Jordi just has his second TPLO done on his right knee on April 5, 2017 (Dr. House did Jordi's left knee 3-17-16) and we can not be happier with the results! Dr. House is extremely skilled and we would highly recommend him. He's done several (our Rescue's dogs) other surgeries as well - FHO surgeries. All excellent results, very reasonable charges and wonderful results!! Dr.House carefully explains in detail what he will do and then after the surgery explains what he did do and the recovery process expected. Jordi did fantastic with his first knee and is doing even better with this knee! Thank you Dr House!

Dr. House did an amazing job performing an amputation on our 5 year old ferret, Ayla. Ayla is considered a high risk patient due to her age and kidney disease but that didn't stop Dr. House from teaming up with our long-time exotic vet to perform the surgery. Ayla battled a large cyst for over a year. She under-went multiple treatments, including a prior surgery to try and remove the cyst, but ultimately amputation became her only option.Dr. House did an excellent job and we are so appreciative that he did not shy away from this challenge. Not only did he do a great job minimizing blood loss and stitching her up, he also had the wherewithal to remove a lymph node for the pathologists. It turns out, Ayla's cyst was caused by an aggressive sarcoma (despite previous biopsies coming back negative for cancer). We are happy to finally have answers, and the lymph node that Dr. House removed showed that the cancer had not yet metastasized. That combined with clean margins

Dr House traveled to my vet in Northport last week to do an assessment on my dog Luna who had lost the use of her back legs. After doing a full neuro and orthopedic assessment he called me and in great detail explained what he found and shared his recommendations with me of options that were available. I felt the surgical option of a femoral head ostectomy gave her the best chance for a full and active life. He did the surgery the same day and after only a week she is pain-free and doing short walks out back. Dr House is an excellent surgeon but perhaps even more important to those of us who are so worried about our little companions he knows how to communicate the technical details and also to alleviate the fears that come with having an injured or ill dog.

I highly recommend Dr. Mark House for any of your pets surgical needs. He and his technicians were fantastic! My dog has needed both of her knees fixed in the last two years. Both surgeries went very well and she is fully recovered. Thanks to him I now have my hiking buddy back!

My Siberian Husky, who just turned eleven years old, is a surgical patient having her left hind leg removed due to horrible, rapid cancer. Dr.House diagnosed the situation correctly and confidently. The way in which the incision was made preserves the beauty of a beautiful lady. Her recovery after 5 days is 100% positive. She adapted right away to the loss and began getting around on her 3 legs. A good recovery is dependent on beginning with good surgery...I can't emphasize enough how well she's doing.Sashenka is my child and I insist on the best care available. Dr. Mark House is just that quite candidly.We love our pets, and show it in the care we give them.

I highly recommend Dr House and his staff! My 4 year old cattle dog, Mason, needed knee surgery and Dr House came highly recommended. Mason's knee injury was not as black and white as some cases as he had a partial tear. Dr House reviewed the radiographs taken by my regular vet and quickly identified the issue and talked to me about options. We scheduled surgery which was an easy process, the procedure went very well, and he was easy to follow up with post-op for check-ins and recovery questions. Thanks to Dr House's early detection of Mason's injury, I am back on the trails adventuring with my best buddy. Thank you Dr House!

Dr. House performed a double TPLO on my 1 and 1/2 year old boxer mix! He explained everything to me in detail and made me feel really comfortable about what needed to be done to get my pup back to herself (and then some)! The surgery itself could not have gone smoother! The suturing is absolutely beautiful (I would be surprised if she has any noticeable scars after she is all healed up)! He took time to customize everything based on her needs. He is very good at what he does and he is very confident in his work! There is nobody better suited for the job!!
