If you can make it to your job everyday, you don’t need any revisions on your schedule.. this job is for you! If you have children and your children get sick due to Covid, or something comes up they will pretend they understand and fire you. I would rave about the ladies at the Oakville location all the time and I honestly loved my job, every client I had, personally told the office how much they loved me, I was available last minute to pick up shifts, went over and above as a care taker that is until 1 week my daughter got a concussion at school and the next day got sick. I told them it would be best I miss the day as my throat was sore as well and so we could get Covid tests, also with the numbers going up my husbands job changed and we were forced to share the day as we have to care for our kids so I changed my availability a bit and next thing I know they tell me I’m not reliable and let me go….Also, beware a client of mine had an anaphylactic allergy to pets, they asked me if I had pets I said I had a dog and they told me not to say anything. They are just concerned with making money and not anyones safety. I will say they are friendly, until you have to cancel a shift, then they fire you. I am shocked and I’m sure the clients that I had will miss me and be shocked as well. It’s Covid times and a company should be a bit more understanding. No wonder they have postings up daily looking for new staff..

I am honoured to be a team member of Nurse next door Burlington/Oakville. Our motto is “happier aging” I am aging happier working for this incredible establishment!! I honestly can’t remember the last time I came home at the end of the day just as happy as when I started it. When you do something you love, you don’t work a day in your life. Nurse next door is that for me. I just love spending my days with people making them feel loved and seen by me and vice versa. The laughter is endless. This career opportunity has literally changed my (work) life for the better. Management makes you feel like what you do, matters; and it does! You truly are a part of the team here. I love that I can choose my own hours and I get to help someone else’s loved ones, while still having quality time with mine. I am so grateful to be apart of this phenomenal team!!

A kind voice on the other end of the receiver listened to my hurried story and eased my harried mind. Nurse Next Door understood my need for urgent assistance when I contacted them six months ago. An immediate appointment was setup at my convenience that worked around my schedule as the primary caregiver of my Mom who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. We now regularly use Nurse Next Door for personal respite. Nurse Next Door understands the necessity of helping the caregiver stay healthy and sane by providing top-notch care and accessibility 24/7 and matching Mom with a wonderful PSW who has had an incredible positive and enriching influence on Mom.
