Orchard Gardens Seniors Community

What a wonderful community and home we've found for our Dad! The staff have been so caring and accommodating and as per my Dad, the food has been excellent. His apartment is quiet and perfectly sized and the grounds are just beautiful. But what takes a place and makes it a home is the warmth and good feeling you get when you come in. You feel that at Orchard Gardens. It feels alive with happy staff and happy residents mingling and socializing. We can't begin to describe the positive effect it's had on our Dad and how much younger and happier he seems. Our biggest regret is not moving him here sooner. Thank you Orchard Gardens. We are relieved and grateful to have found you.

My Dad is really happy there. All of the staff are helpful, kind and accomodating. The residents are very friendly and welcoming. He enjoys the delicious meals and the activities.

Fernbrae is a good independent senior home other than services that are provided outside the cost of rent.When I moved my father in it took sometime to get the room ready ( paint, cleaning, ect ) Understandable due to busy-ness of the Manor.( noted that it was not painted or cleaned previously )Great food, positive atmosphere.8 Months laterCons,1Room was rarely cleaned by staff, I found ants crawling all over his room.They promised to install the air conditioner I provided within a week of move in.This never happened in the 8 months of his tenancy. ( it was on his floor the entire stay despite requests every week to install it )Grooming and shaving were checked off on the staffs checklist yet he was growing a beard....Two months after he was moved out i was expecting my father to get his full deposit within two months, which it did BUT they charged my father a $300.00 cleaning service ( paint, cleaning and shampooing of the carpets)They do not paint nor clean anything until a new resident is acquired for the room ( pretty much charging for '' potential '' services in the future )As noted above they do not clean nor paint UNTIL you are right about to move in.Great atmosphere but yet another money grab senior home tsk tsk.
