We hired Dartmouth Handyman to instll all the windows and doors in our house that we bought from Home Depot. They were prompt professional and friendly. They are very outgoing and good-natured. Their quality of work is high and they take care to do it correctly. Dave's knowledge and experience is evident. We enjoyed some fun Irish stories as well.When we encountered a problem with the manufacturer Dave made sure to work out a professional solution and had a customer-first approach. I’m being completely transparent, I have not had experience first hand with this team. I have had a visual completion of a job they completed for a dear friend. He needed a storm door replaced, (his home isn’t old by any means) he was informed that door in particular was discontinued, the door was measured and a replacement ordered. Upon receiving the door, it was noticed that it isn’t the same install and fit. (I also realize these things might happen) The new door did not align with the previous hardware placement attachment points, unfortunately after replacing the door, it left a messy looking entrance and unpolished look. I personally feel it could have been cleaned up better than it was left. Regardless of who is right and wrong, it’s just important to leave things nicer and better than they were in life. Getting short and carrying a “tone” while speaking with the customer isn’t helpful or professional. Financially it feels like a loss for the home owner. I sincerely hope something can be mended. Responses have been very “tart”, unnecessarily sarcastic and dramatic from the business. A polite conversation needs to happen with the home owner.

I had Dartmouth Handyman services replace an exterior storm door. The gentlemen I was talking to stated he knew exactly the door I was looking for and ordered it in. The door that he came out with was in no way exact. The old door had a heavy door closer attached to the interior which the new one does not, so automatically im dealing with 4 exposed holes.The exterior of the door was also left a mess where it was filled in with caulking not replaced the way it should of. Dartmouth handyman services came back out to the house to instal pvc pieces to cover up the holes just inside the storm door but still looks a mess. No notification was made by this handyman when he was out the second time to address my concerns and I tried messaging him via text numerous times but no reply. Then when I called went straight to voicemail. I called using another number and immediately got through. I was told during that call that all my concerns were at fault of my own. That I needed to have the exterior fixed up to standard prior to him coming out and that I knew what door he was coming with. Outside of faulting me for these issues was very rude cutting me off while I was trying to talk. I wasted 1300 for a door and still have extreme cosmetic issues that are staring me in the face, had I known this is the work I was about to receive never would've got it done.Response to Dartmouth handyman service comments.----No I was not happy with the service I received when you left as per our texts. You were just set on receiving your payment in full as you mentioned a few times. You can't comment on what Home Depot told me you were not there. You as the professional" should have identified that the damage done to the frame was not going to be repaired and would still be dealing with the same outstanding issue. Doesn't make sense I would spend money and not repair it properly? As far the installation date I did not force your hand on installing the door while it was raining. Not my fault you did damage to the deck...Also as a paying customer not professional to use such words as botched and bullFor everyone the last picture is the initial response that I got from this company which someone deleted and wrote as much nicer reply."

I had a few doors replaced by Dave and Danya not to long ago and they were friendly, punctual and very clear on explaining things. Very professional and I am looking forward to doing business again.
