Gemini K9 Obedience & Training Equipment

We had such an amazing experience at Gemini K9! From the moment we walked in and got our free evaluation with Rita, she helped us feel confident and hopeful that we could manage our puppy, Athena and become a stronger pack. We trained with Akeem and it was truly life-changing. He provided us with information, tools and feedback to help us strengthen the bond between Athena and our family. Taking her on walks had became very difficult because she is very headstrong and a curious puppy! Akeem helped us feel more at ease with his experience in training Bully breeds (both personal and professional) and we saw an improvement week after week. We are so excited to continue our training journey and want to thank the GK9 team and especially Akeem for his patience dealing with me and all my questions lol! We would highly recommend training from Gemini if you are a new puppy owner or just want more knowledge about the relationship you can build with your special friend!

We spent a lot of time researching training companies for our rottweiler puppy, but found almost all of them relied on clicker training. We did not want to have to teach her how to use that, then teach her to respond appropriately when we would have to phase it out. It was not practical for us! We were so happy to find Gemini K9 and our trainer, Kayla. She worked with us to teach us how to set up our dog for success and build our relationship. We love that it was private classes that were tailored to our needs, concerns and dog. We highly recommend Gemini K9 and couldn't be happier with the results!

I had a really great experience with them-- I was nervous at first bc I don't necessarily follow the same school of thought on dog training as they do (they're a little more intense than the positive reinforcement only" community that I'm used to) but Kayla was so good at making sure I was comfortable with everything we were doing with my pup and always provided alternative methods in case I wasn't comfortable with something. Kayla was also just incredible at teaching ME how to teach my dog

Before I came to Gemini K9, my puppy got some training and it wasn't effective. When I came to Gemini K9, they were very professional, they tend to the needs of the dog and owner equally. Kayla listened to my concerns and shared the knowledge needed to be effective and successful. After just a couple of sessions, I saw the change in my puppy's behavior. If it wasn’t for my trainer Mark, I would be a lot more bothered with the customer service at Gemini K9 than I am now. What’s sad is that I truly feel bad for the trainers there because Mark was always kind and accommodating and his supervisor or manager Margarita is the complete opposite of that. From the evaluation, I was hesitant just based on the way she assessed my dog but because I was desperate for help I signed up in hopes for results. As much as I was able to obtain results for my dog, the overall experience was tainted by the manager. What was really frustrating was when she would intervene in my session with Mark and tell me things that don’t work for my dog and furthermore things that Mark already had solutions for. Lastly, tone and ways of communication from management needs to be addressed. Being told I can’t cancel anymore or I need a doctors note for a program I paid in full for is ridiculous. Things happen and that needs to be understood, otherwise it makes the business look dishonest and opportunistic (which it isn't). Again, because of Mark I was able to leave here with results but management needs to know that the overall experience is important and my overall experience wasn’t as good as it could have been because of the way this manager decides to handle situations. The crazy thing about this all is that I had a friend not sign up because of her tone and communication. They made the mistake because the trainers and the facility are phenomenal.Thank you Mark for your patience and expertise. What you've been able to do for me and my dog was beyond my expectation! I recommend Gemini K9 without a doubt but things need to be addressed.

They run an amazing Obedience program. Great facility and company. Our trainer, Kayla, is amazing. She is patient, encourages, knowledgeable and provide great hands on training and feedback, and she is super friendly. Our Beagle Jester has come so far in just a couple months. Would highly recommend using them and/or Kayla.

Absolutely incredible training programme. I have now been enrolled in two 8 week programs and my Corgi & I have achieved so much.Every session is geared to my particular needs and/or concerns with my dog . One on one is the way to go for me and after using other training companies, Gemini K9 is correcting not only my pet issue but reinforcing my relationship with my 4 legged partner.Training is never ending and this company and all their talented trainers have the ability to always teach a dog( and owners) a new trick!Thank you, Margarit, Mark( Donny) and Kayla(Amber)Love ya!Archie the Corgi

We cannot recommend Gemini K9 enough. We started taking our Belgian Mal/Dutch Shepard puppy Odin when he was just five months old. Our trainer Akeem Norris helped us work with Odin to teach him not only obedience, but how to handle different challenges that came up at home along the way. Odin has completed basic obedience, and advanced training 1 and 2 and we now have a dog who can walk off leash almost anywhere, and has steadily improved in his recall. Akeem helped us not only to teach Odin but to gain a better understanding of our relationship with him and the dynamics of our “pack”.After training with Odin for a few months we adopted another Malidutchie, Hank, who was 8 months old when we brought him home (Odin was almost 1 by then). Gemini and Akeem accommodated us to train both dogs together with sessions back to back each week. Akeem’s guidance and understanding of dog mentality was a life saver as each member of the pack adjusted. Not only did Odin continue to advance in his abilities, confidence and obedience, but Akeem helped Hank transition and work through all of the pre-existing issues that needed to be addressed. Akeem took every concern we had in stride and helped us feel confident in working with our boys to create bonds that allow the dogs, and us, to flourish. His patience and enthusiasm for pups was clear each week and we will be forever grateful to Akeem and the team at Gemini K9.

Taking our puppy Chili for training at Gemini K9 was the best decision we ever made for him! Our trainer Kayla was incredible, so knowledgeable and supportive throughout all of his training! We did the beginner obedience, advanced obedience and group class with her! Off leash, Chili now has excellent recall and heels perfectly, even with lots of distractions! We get comments everyday about how well behaved and trained he is. I would HIGHLY recommend Gemini K9, especially Kayla!!!

Our boy, Ares, completed and passed the Aggression Control program at Gemini K9. We brought him to Gemini K9 for his reactivity towards other dogs. We learned so much as handlers, and achieved a lot of progress with Ares. From the first session, we already noticed a difference. Couldn’t be more thankful for this training program, especially with our trainer, Akeem Norris. Akeem is very knowledgeable and highly experienced. He listened to all of our concerns, and worked with us to get to where we needed to be and more. On top of being professional, Akeem made the training experience positive and enjoyable for us.Thank you Akeem for all your support, guidance, and knowledge throughout our entire training program!
