Timberland Motel

I stayed at Timberland Motel while I was in Ness Creek photographing a wedding and I was pleasantly surprised! Clean, great and friendly service and comfy beds. I would definitely stay again

My husband and I went fishing to Delaronde and spent a night at the Timberland Motel. We got to Big River early Saturday and really appreciated being able to check when we arrived. I was greeted by another staff member, Franklin the turtle. Such a friendly little fella who loves to be pet. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed my 50th Birthday supper from Third & Main. The Saskatchewan pizza was amazing. While packing up the next morning, Winston the lab made his rounds outside and came to say good morning. Judy at the front desk was kind enough to allow us to use the freezer while we went fishing for the day. She also kept a watchful eye on the one dozen cinnamon buns I picked up from Third & Main. You gotta try this restaurant too! Truly the best cinnamon buns and for the size of them, the price was so reasonable. The Timberland is located just off the highway and feels like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back to fish and visit the beautiful town of Big River….but this time plan to stay longer.

Excellent motel, very friendly staff, they even gave me home made cookies! Only thing I would like to see is a safety chain added to the door, had I not put a chair in front of the door, the maid would have walked in on me changing. She did announce herself, but I had a cookie in my mouth and couldn't answer back in time.

Honestly this is definitely one of my favorite places to stay when we go fishing or quading! The owners are amazing! Rooms are always clean! This time we stayed in one of their RV sites and they have amazing spots there! Beautiful landscaped, super clean, also has a shower house for those who are RVing! Very well maintained Motel and area! This is always the place for us to stay when we go to Big River! Check them out, such a great place!

I have been staying in Big river quite often recently and I always enjoy my stay when I come to the Timberland motel. The local pooch is very friendly, The grounds are well maintained and the staff are super accommodating. Thank you Judy.

A great location to explore the western part of the Prince Albert National Park and surrounding areas. Really nice and clean, we had a studio (one room for us and another connected room for our two grownup daughters with a fully equipped kitchen in one room). A very pleasant place to return to after a long day of hiking! We will be definitely coming back. The only complaint was that the fridge was too loud, we had to reduce the setting quite a bit so that it does not bother us at night.

friends of ours made a spontaneous trip to Big River with their young family to do some trail riding and were treated with such grace and kindness to help them out with accommodations on a busy weekend. Three of us from Meadow Lake joined our friends there to ride together and were also treated with such warm hospitality even tho we hadn't stayed there but needed a place to wait out a rain. Thank you, so very much for letting us park our truck and trailer there and treating us so warmly! I will definitely recommend you to anyone needing a place to stay in your area!

After a crappy day of weather I got stranded in Big River. When I needed a room I was met with friendly hospitality by the lady at the front desk. She got me in a room and off the roads.The rooms are smaller than city hotels but it's what you expect for a small town.The rooms are clean. The bed is clean. The bathroom is clean. The tv works. What more do you need.

Great place to stay. The place is well maintained and clean. Owners are helpful, knowledgeable about the trails in the area. We stayed here for a few days just to ride the trails. Good location if your planning to ride trails. We are planning to go back to find Timberlost. We will definitely stay here again!Dog is calm and pleasant. One of the highlights for our 1 year old.

Clean rooms! Well organized and well run. Very helpful and accomodating. Arrived very late on a cold winter night to the heater warming up in our room, a cozy inviting lamp left on and a place to plug in our vehicle. Staff is available 24hrs a day. They even came to rescue during a snow storm to help us with our horses/trailer .Easy to rebook as they keep information on file. We will plan to book a stay here to break our trip up any time we head up north.
