Festina Lente Estate Winery and Meadery

It’s a must stop to try their honey wines. The home is very cozy and the service made us feel very welcomed. The server/owner was very knowledgeable and helped us decide which of the wines to come home with (I literally wanted them all! They have blankets and a cute outdoor seating that I hope to enjoy the next time we come!

This is the go to place for Mead! I love the winery style of having Mead and the amount of thought and effort put into each and every bottle of them. Go try their Mead on tap which changes every now and then and it's surprisingly great! They have the perfect outdoor seating just for that! Go for the Mead sampling and get a bottle or two home! You won't regret it! Don't forget to feed the chickens!

Great place to go for a wine tasting. It only costs 10 dollars and they give you around 5-6 different types of wine. Staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to wine and super friendly. Most times they have a food truck on site in case you are looking for something to eat while drinking wine. Cheers!

Think you're not a mead fan? Think again! This was one of the stops on our wine tour that prior to going I thought would be my least favorite stop ended up being the place where we bought the most bottles. I don't like sweet wine at all but was blown away at how complex and dry mead can be. The owners are super sweet and you can tell the pride they have in every bottle they make. The location is also a working farm so be sure to feed the chickens before you go! Next time we're back in Canada, I'm bringing my car and stocking up!

We were very impressed with the unique wines. We tasted 6 of their lovely wines and I am so happy we stopped in. The most unique mead wines and they are excellent. Thanks so much for the informative tasting. Highly recommend this winery for a unique experience.

Whoa whoa whoa! What an amazing small winery! The location is beautiful. The place is very warm and cozy from inside. The bartenders are amazing and the wines are so unique! I have never had honey wines before. Here they use honey to make the wine as against grapes. Every wine will have the smell of honey but that smell is great for every wine. We took a flight of 6 wines and all were very good. Their sweet wines aren't overly sweet. They are perfectly balanced. Bought 4 bottles at the end of the tasting. We did the wine tasting, this was conducted by the owner, she knew everything about her product, the Wine was really good, the setting is nice, if we didn't live in Scotland we would come back for sure, but we did buy some wine and look forward to drinking it.

I haven't personally attended the winery so I have no idea how anything is. However, I phoned yesterday to speak to someone. For my cousins fiancés Bachelorette party, the group decided to start off with a wine tour and we were planning on stopping at 3 different places, starting with this venue. I, personally do not drink but wanted to join in on the festivities to be supportive and just be there for her. I phoned all 3 wineries and asked if I would have to pay for the wine tour even tho I wouldn't be participating in any of the drinking. The other two wineries immediately told me that I didn't have a pay for the tour which I thought was great. Unfortunately this winery said no matter what I have to pay for the tour and proceeded to say we have food and mocktails at our location... I can understand if I have to pay a fee to sit at the table with the group but I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for the tasting itself when I wasn't drinking at all. Maybe for future, let customers know they still need to pay a small fee for the seating, but making them pay for wines that they don't and wont drink? I think there needs to be a better option.. Again, I've never been here so I don't have any experience on the location, wines and customer service. Just wanted to post my input on this :-)
