Let's Talk Speech Language Therapy

Gail met my son when he was just 3 years old and could barely speak. We were unsure how his speech and language would develop and knew we needed severe intervention. Gail worked with him weekly for over 6 years. He is now speaking with an extensive vocabulary and attending school in a regular classroom. Through Gail's knowledge of Prompt therapy and highest level training, she was able to make miracles happen. My son would not be where he is today without her.

I will FOREVER be thankful to Gail Scher. She started seeing my son Jack as a small boy , he had one word- Mama. He is very bright and was so frustrated. It was heartbreaking to see. Jack had had traditional speech therapy for five years prior. It just didn’t help him. Gail worked with him tirelessly using the PROMPT method. That made a huge difference. I can’t count how many words he has now. He can ask questions and tell us about his day or people at school. He can ask for what he wants and clearly tell us what he doesn’t. Gail Scher’s therapy and sincere care for him has changed our lives. I’m not exaggerating. I remember Gail went to several Dr appts with us as an advocate for Jack. She went far above and beyond . She is so skilled but humble and respectful. Her therapy took our son further than we ever would have managed . Honestly Jack needed the PROMPT approach in treatment We are truly grateful to Gail.

Gail Scher is truly an amazing speech and language therapist. She was able to significantly help my grandson speak with greater clarity in just over a year. Gail was engaging and made every session fun. Our grandson just loved her. All her suggestion and written reports were very thorough, detailed and very well thought out. She always took the extra time to either meet with teachers at the school or answer any questions. We are forever thankful for the gift of speech Dr. Gail Scher gave our grandson.

Gail is truly a miracle worker. My daughter was largely non-verbal before she started seeing Gail at age 3, and you'd never guess it now at age 7. Gail's PROMPT techniques helped teach my daughter how to make sounds to form words, and then Gail's play-based approach helps my daughter learn to put words together appropriately and extend comprehension. Gail has helped our daughter achieve her full potential, engage in our world confidently, and express herself without frustration.

Dr. Gail Scher is truly a miracle worker. She is a patient, dedicated professional who gave our son the ability to communicate with and be understood by others. He looked forward to his sessions and willingly did his homework, a miracle of its own. Illinois' loss is Ottowa's gain.

Gail is the top in her field. Caring, highly intelligent, knowledgeable, and a true partner in our child's therapy. Our child has a severe motor speech disorder, and put simply, if it wasn't for Gail he would not be speaking at all. We started with her when he was under 20 months and had regressed from having over 25 words down to 3. Now, approx 10 months later, he has hundreds of words in his vocabulary, and is putting together sentences! This is something that we never thought would happen, and it brings tears of joy to our eyes. Gail is a true professional and we cannot think of ever making this journey without her. Your child, and your self, are in great hands with Gail. Our son loves her like no other, and looks forward to his therapy sessions with her each week. We truly consider her a miracle worker.

Suspiciously does not accept arabic sounding patients. Not just from my lone experience. The abrupt rejection is alarming and a shame.
