I paid to be matched with a therapist. Got matched with someone who’s rate was $130. I thought that was a bit steep given that she wasn’t a psychologist. There was no free consultation. She asked that I pay (upfront) to start a first session. Photo of email attached. Out of desperation, I proceeded. During our virtual intake session, the therapist seemed oddly detached and distant. She displayed no warmth or empathy. When time was up, she suggested I call if I wanted an actual appointment to begin therapy. Of course, I didn’t contact her again and didn’t have the energy to argue with Argyle nor the confidence in a rematch. On their side, there was no follow up to ask how things went. Not even an automated form to let them know about my experience. Disappointing. I expected more from an organization that specializes in psychology and well-being. Their real clients are the therapists.

Went there begging for help for my anxiety, depression and my inability to hold a job; I was told they couldn't help me because they had nothing covered by RAMQ and I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket. They told me to stop being so picky

I have referred individuals and families who have been greatly helped over the past decade.

Very professional and at the same time, very human. Was treated like a person rather than a patient. Was very nervous prior to visiting but very glad I decided to give them a try. Highly recommend.

First the process of registration, took a very long time.. took them over 3 weeks to reach back to me. Although I get the pandemic, they were non empathic about having me wait. It's like I was speaking to robots. As well a payment of 30 bucks for registration (non refundable)Then came the therapist whom seemed fine and then after the 2nd session told me that she spoke to her supervisor and had to drop my case and that the institute couldnt carry on and provide me more treatment. I asked for a reason, and none given.I also called for an answer, but I guess they wont provide me that either :)This was a nightmare to go through, it was fine and dandy at first and then I realized that it was not that good. The way i was treated was just trash.They should have communicated with me the concerns.A good way to make people feel more like trash is not giving them a reason or closure.This institution will do that to you.I do not recommend!

I approached The Argyle Institute recently about creating an EAP resource program for my employees. The staff I met were quick to respond and gave me a good sense of the steps needed to create such a program. I look forward to working with them in the future.

They charged a 35 dollar fee to schedule an appointment. They then offered one time slot which was non-negotiable with no reasoning. They are preying on people who require help.
