We really enjoyed our stay at the Homewood in Montreal. The location of the hotel was perfect. The hotel is right across the highway from the water and right next to Chinatown. The hotel is also only a 10 min short walk to downtown. We felt very safe at the hotel and it's location. The hotel seems new and the rooms were nice. The hotel rooms layout was a bit odd but overall we enjoyed our room. We were also surprised by the amenities in the hotel room. We had a King Suite with a balcony. The rooms had a microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, and a washer and dryer. We also really enjoyed our balcony we were surprised on how quiet it was while we sat and had coffee. The breakfast at the hotel was also very good. There was different breakfast options each morning of our stay. On the 6th floor there is a gym and outdoor pool area. The gym is nice with plenty of machines the only challenge was the wifi would cut in and out occasionally. We did not test the pool since the weather wasn't that warm but the pool looked very nice. There are 2 firepits that work very well and were nice and toasty. There are also 3 hot tubs for the guests to use that give you a great view of the city. The only issue is the wifi did not work over by the hot tubs. We were also very surprised to find out that on the opposite side of the 6th floor there is a bar. We did not visit but we had heard it was the new hot spot in town. We very much enjoyed our stay and would revisit

Great location in Montreal. My husband and I loved staying right in Chinatown and just steps from old Montreal. There were so many great restaurants, cocktail bars, shops and things to do in the area. Our hotel room was also clean and comfortable. It was so convenient having a little kitchenette space and laundry machines. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had a question or request. Housekeeping visited us a few times during our 1 week stay. The continental breakfast gets very busy so make sure to go down early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Thank you for demonstrating that hotels can still be clean, modern and run with care and detail. Watching the young ladies cleanup up the breakfast area was all I needed to see why this place is nice. Not rushed but not slow methodically making it perfect again. Nice place and thank you!Only thing I would change, and it's out of their control, is the poor corporate breakfast food.

The location is perfect for getting around old Montreal. Being in such a populated area and next to right next door to China town was nice. Every walk we took we saw numerous dead or poisoned rats around the building. The hotel breakfast was decent. The turkey sausages gave me and one of our travel mates intense gastro symptoms.Best part was once home and checking the master card receipt they charged as an extra almost 200$ for stealing a coffee maker that we had no idea was even there as no one drank coffee. When we called and spoke to Hilton they were apologetic but not much help. We finally spoke to the hotel directly and they said we were thief’s and had stole the in room coffee machine. They were unable to provide their reason. But just that we had stolen it.So I mean, if your an adult that works hard for your money but want to be accused of thief. This is the place for you!

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean, well organized and had more than what I needed. It was quiet and everything worked properly. All of the staff that I encountered were friendly, accommodating and efficient. I would come back for sure.

Great place and fantastic location. Staff was kind and friendly. I do think for the money spent that a towel service should be available without having to request it. Breakfast was well done with good variety. The fitness room was exceptional. We will keep Homewood Suites in our mind if we stay in Montreal again.

Dates of stay: June 10 - 14, 2023Check In: Despite being near midnight, the lobby was busy and there was a short wait for check in but nothing too terrible. I provided my information for the two rooms my family reserved and it was not long before we had our keys. I had reserved one suite and one regular room and I inquired about which room was which since we were not on the same floor. That's when I found out that they had downgraded the suite room and gave me a credit instead. The hotel had sent communications regarding the stay prior to check-in, yet this was the first time we were being notified of this change, which had a huge impact on our visit, and only brought to my attention when I inquired. And then we weren't able to even get rooms on the same floor. I worked for hotels when I was younger; we would look ahead and assign rooms to guests staying with groups or guests with preferred status to ensure these things wouldn't happen. That apparently does not happen here.Room: The rooms themselves are fine. They appear recently updated and the space is well-proportioned. There was a washer and dryer in the room (but no detergent) as well as a full fridge (complete with a dirty pitcher in it from the last guests), dishwasher, oven, stove, and microwave. In addition to the fridge issue, there was hair from previous guests in the bathrooms of both of our rooms.Housekeeping: The hair was just the beginning of the housekeeping problems we faced. There was no service for one of the rooms on the first day, and none on the second day, either because they came before we had left for the afternoon. We asked if they could come back in an hour but they did not understand English or French and did not return that evening while we were out. We called on the third day and the front desk promised to rectify it, and service was provided. But the refillable lotion was not tended to and when they came to check on the service and we asked about the lotion, they came and refilled it, but then took our bath mat and never came back... The Keurig pods for the coffee maker were inconsistent; one day they gave us five decaf coffees and then the next, two teas. Some days we got new washcloths, other days they took them all and we had to use hand towels in their place.Gym: One of the better gyms I've had the privilege of using in recent memory. Spacious and well-equipped, the cardio machines have a nice view into old Montreal. Yet during the entire four day stay there was not a single disinfecting wipe to be found in the gym. That makes me question how often it is being cleaned.Pool: To call it a pool is a bit of an insult to swimming in general, it's a small rectangle that would be a bit too much for more than three or four people. The separate hot tubs across the wall were a nice touch, though! But the pool closes very early--9 p.m.--which was a bummer when we were using the outdoor space since we lost a gathering place with the room downgrade.Breakfast: As scattershot as the rest of the facility. Most of the items are exactly the same each day and staff does not always remember to put out the signs, so we didn't know exactly what we were eating until day two. The chicken sausages were often cold and some of the omelets were lacking cheese. Staff stands in the corner and talks to each other, they seem annoyed when asked for a refill of forks or something else that has run out. We ended up going out for breakfast the second half of our stay--we couldn't do the same breakfast three days in a row! A highlight here is the pastry selection; grab a couple of those and just find yourself a good lunch somewhere instead!I'm only giving this place two stars because I actually heard back from my review; Naomie reached out to me and apologized, which was nice. I just wish she had been around during our stay to try and make it better!

Our family of four spent a week here and were overall very happy with our stay. Breakfast was at times quite crowded but it was summer so that was to be expected. Service was friendly, our room had two balconies, beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped. The hotel is new but there were a few instances where one noticed that some of the planning/construction was not done particularly well. For example, it wasn't possible to lock the bathroom door because the latch bolt didn't align properly with the strike plate, preventing the locking mechanism from engaging. Whoever measured the space for the fridge failed to take into account that the fridge door needs additional space on the side when it opens. If you push the fridge into an enclosure that is barely wider than the fridge with a closed door, you won't be able to open the door. The result is that one has to pull the fridge out of its enclosure so that it protrudes into the room to open the door.Still -- overall we were very with our stay and would stay here again. The location is great, and the pool and whirlpools great.

Very comfortable room, but there were dishes scattered in the dishwasher and we are not sure they are cleaned or not. Tea/coffee supplies by the coffee maker were not replenished from the previous guest stay. The balcony is pretty dusty and uninviting. Location is very convenient but we can still hear some highway traffic even being on the highest floor, so it depends on which side of hotel you are on. Parking is CAD$28 a day right under the hotel building, which is a big plus for snowy winter of Sin City.
