Sandman Inn Blue River

The front desk was extremely helpful. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and seemed a little stuffy. The bathroom was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable. We arrived on a Sunday evening hoping to get something to eat after a very long drive. Nothing was open but snacks from a gas station. The front desk was very helpful at alerting us to this problem right away, however, maybe someone else arriving on a Sunday might also like to know this. Breakfast the next morning at the restaurant attached was very good.

After a long night of driving from Alberta and my car breaking down half way through, this was the best place I could have picked to stay. They were so accommodating for our VERY late arrival. The bed was comfortable, the shower was incredible, check in and out was nice and easy. 10/10 would absolutely stay again.

Terrible hotel! Very outdated and in need of repairs to exterior. Still need a actual key to get in the door. No key cards here! We stayed here because of trip logistics. Would never stay here again!

Called in for supper after work and was dissatisfied, firstly was told no fish n chips was on menu, decided to go for the lasagne very poor even the two people with me tried it and both said it was not nice.

So they were very busy with the season and the pipeline so I could give a bit of leaway. The staff were courteous, which was good. The bed was clean but floor not. The AC was a through wall and very noisy, not a very low fan speed,and blew right on the bed. Hard to sleep with on and too hot off. If there wasn't a hole in the screen window I could have opened that. Might be a nicer hotel when this settles down if they do a few improvements and clean a bit better. Price was right.

After a very long and challenging day of travel, my family and I found ourselves in Blue River in the middle of the night seriously needing a place to get some sleep. The night manager (I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten your name as I was beyond exhausted) was AMAZING! I let him know our situation and he was able to accommodate us in the middle of the night without hesitation. The room was clean and the beds were super cozy! Bonus that they are also pet friendly! To the night manager directly- thank you so incredibly much for giving us a place to stay where we could get rest and be safe and sound for the rest of our journey!

The couple that runs it are very good and kind people ..They have been extremely accommodating I would come back just because of them . The building is old and kinda run down so if your looking for fancy this is not your kinda place ..

It was a little pricy for a hotel without amenities like a hot tub or pool though it has a restaurant. The rooms were basic what you would expect from a motel. A single room for 1 night will run u 150.00

Very basic room, seemed clean enough though with a bit of wear and tear on parts. If you're looking for a simple place just to sleep then it's worth it. Not much around the area but easy to drive a big truck and trailer into the parking lot.

I stayed at the Sandman Inn from 5pm until morning on my way home from Alberta. Upon arriving the staff were very friendly. The price was what I could afford. I was thrilled with the room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable as were the pillows and comforter. I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the deep tub after a long drive. There was tea and coffee available with the pot to make it in. It was very quiet and I enjoyed watching TV while relaxing before having an excellent night of sleep. When I got home, I realized that my spare car key was missing. Sure enough, the staff at Sandman found it and turned it in. They were kind enough to mail it back to me without charge. I highly recommend the Sandman Inn to anyone passing through or staying in the area. I really don't understand any of the bad reviews I've read but maybe it was because of the smoke from forest fires. I found none of that to be true in my case. I highly recommend this Inn and have been telling that to all my acquaintances.
