Golden Taste Restaurant
Really good Chinese food for south side of the henday. Dine in as plenty of room for just 2 or the whole family. Take out is done fairly quick even when busier. They do deliver it only after a certain time and not everyday ( worth driving to get takeout if they arnt delivering cause they only go like 5 10km no far). Place is really clean super friendly staff always. Would reccomend to anyone.

Overall the experience was good. I went in and ordered takeout chinese food for supper.Here's what I found. The reasoning for my review is I owned a 140 seat restaurant in Yellowknife NWT.The portions are just way to big. When you order mushroom fried rice, dry garlic ribs, stir fried vegetables and sweet and sour ribs you don't expect to have such a large quantity. It's OK to have leftovers but not for the next three or four days.The vegetables had a good variety but they were cold by the time I got home. However I live 10 minutes away so I was very disappointed. As vegetables are my favorite I really liked having lots left over.The mushroom fried rice was good but again just to much.The dry garlic ribs had just to much coating which hide the meat inside and took away for the normal good flavour you have when you ribs.The sweet and sour ribs had the same problem. They coated the product the same as the dry garlic ribs. If put them side by side on your plate they both looked the same. Not good.The price was a little high but given the past couple years and the current food prices one should expect to pay a little more.Price is not the most important thing to consider, it's always the quality of the food and if it's hotI suggest cutting back about 40% on quantity being served. Ensure food comes out of the kitchen really really hot and take away the over dominating coating that is being used on the ribs. People pay for ribs not for.a home made coatingPatrick

Great place with amazing food. Owner is friendly. The serving size is really big so ask them before ordering. Highly recommend hot and sour soup, chicken wings(which were really crispy) and Chicken with mix vegetables.

Everything we ordered was very tasty and service was amazing. We had house fried rice, chicken chow mien, ginger beef, sweet and sour boneless pork and vegetable chop suey and all was very delicious. The owner was very kind and we will definitely be back.

Tried this place for the first time. It is a bit pricey but can be expected as most things have jumped in price. Some of the Chow mein noodles were undercooked while the rest were too overcooked that they were basically mush. However, in general the food was pretty good. Probably wont order again but it was nice to try something new with family in for a visit.

For the price I paid, the taste, the quantity and the service was awesome. Their quantity for noodles I had was definitely for 3 people for the price of 1. Love the taste too and the owner was super polite and kind even for my take out order. Must visit!

Ordered take out this time,Was not impressed with the taste especially the sweet and sour pork. The sauce was watery was just sitting at the bottom.

We ordered for Mother's Day and we were very happy! Plenty of food, tasted delicious (especially the spring rolls), and everything was reasonably priced. The lady at the front was one of the most pleasant women I've dealt with. We will be back!

Picked up take out at 5 pm today. Sweet and sour pork is old, yellow and just gross.the pineapples have turned yellow green and taste terrible. It’s hard to tell if it’s actually pork. I called the restaurant and she said it’s because we ordered late on Sunday. If that’s all you have for a very expensive price then take it off the menu. Is my money not as good on a Sunday? I didn’t get a discount so I do not understand. Lemon chicken tastes freezer burnt and is too hard to eat. We ordered family meal for four. Don’t waste your money. The rest of it bland and dry but not as horrendous.
