UpdateI had the new roof installed at the end of October 2021 and noticed in Feb 2022 (thats 3 months old) we had roof leaks, water coming out of electrical boxes, brown drywall, wet insulation, etc. I called the business AGAIN and asked to have Dave the owner call me about this issue. Its been a week and no return phone call, no service from the business not even an attempt to fix the leaks. All I get is excuses from the office people...im sorry this is not the service we strive to provide, or its been busy here, Daves been busy, etc. I cant believe the service from this company. I have asked to get a partial refund back so I can use that to hire a new company to fix these issues as they are unable and unwilling to fix the roof. But no responses no warranty nothing with these guys. Ive called the shingle manufacturer and unfortunately they are no help as they said this is clearly from the contractor and not our fault. I cant caution enough people to steer clear of this business as there workmanship, customer service, and warranties are useless and meaningless. Can you imagine buying a roof from this business and 3 months later looking at new roofers to fix their problems and even possibly needing a whole new roof. Its sad when other businesses come to quote me the job and laugh at this install.original review belowThe workmanship I received on this job has been poor. I have about 15 exposed nails in the shingles as they were not hit within the nail strip line. More exposed nails were found in the ridge caps with the same issue, driven in too low so the next cap did not over lap it. After much effort on my part and phone calls I got them to come to replace some of the issues. They showed up at 430pm at the end of October when it starts getting darker earlier. They fixed what they could find by ripping up the problem shingles and putting new ones in except for 2 areas where they left the nails and just caulked it. After 2 weeks I go back on the roof as majority of the ridge caps were not sealing. I find more exposed nails, amazing what you find in the day light and not an hour before it gets dark. Then I find many nails were at 45 degree angles causing the shingle on top to not sit flush on each other. Also on I think 5 different spots the nail is now breaking through the shingle above it. There are other spots where you can feel the nail, it just hasn’t poked through yet. I had to buy some roof adhesive to seal the shingles and to seal the areas where the nails poked through so now that there’s snow on the roof I hope I made the roof watertight. I found they did not remove the plastic seal on the bottom end of a shingle. This was noticed as it was not sealing. There were other smaller issues as well but The few pictures I’ll share speak volumes I think. There are more exposed nails than the pictures shared but you get the idea. On the positive side I will say the metal, flashing work performed by a separate crew was great, cut perfectly, and caulked water tight.

We had a pretty bad wind storm that took out most of our roof and the amazing people at this place of work helped us securely replace all the damages. I have recommended them to a few of the others in the area that had the same damage to their roofs as well and would recommend this company to anyone who asked. They did an absolutely astounding job and I will be returning to them every single time in the future for any other repairs we will need. Thank you so much.

The recent snow storm caused an ice jam that took off my front gutter, soffit, fascia and all! I dislike having to chase companies for quotes, so I found the professionalism and prompt response refreshing. The work was finished with an extremely fast turn around, saving me a great deal of stress, and the mess cleaned up, which I didn't expect and was highly grateful for! Great local company that I will now be turning to for all my future business.

My husband and I are very happy with the recent roofing job, and the service, from Herb Lodde Roofing. 16 years ago, this company had replaced the entire roof on our house and garage. Since I always check my two attic spaces for leaks at least once a year during heavy rains, I was quite perplexed as to why I had several leaks on the south slope of our roof this year. The shingles we had installed 16 years ago should have lasted longer.The office staff [Faith & Katie] were wonderful in helping me to sort this out. They presented several options, and we discussed each possibility. They provided the information I needed if I wanted to start a warranty claim with the shingles manufacturer. In the end, we decided the best way to go was first to arrange for a total roof inspection. Josh came out to our house and checked the entire roof. He took photos, and showed me exactly what was happening. It turned out that the leaks weren’t caused by initial failure of the shingles, but by failure of the caulking used to seal the screw holes where our pool’s solar heater panels are attached to the roof. This in turn caused the leaks and damage to the shingles.When we decided to go with Lodde Roofing for the job, we weren’t charged for the roof inspection.We only needed to have the south roof slope replaced—which is where the solar panels are located—rather than the whole roof. And another staff person who also checked the roof, and gave us the estimate for the job [Ken], gave me a tube of caulking for the solar energy company to use when the solar panels are re-attached to the roof. Ken also showed me several shingle choices, and recommended a heavier shingle, based upon the fact that we have the solar panels on the roof.The job was completed at least a month earlier than first scheduled. Everyone we dealt with was efficient and polite. They answered any questions that I had. The cleanup was excellent. We received follow-up emails and phone calls to make sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. This was a very good experience from start to finish!We’d highly recommend Herb Lodde Roofing, and we’ll use them for any roofing jobs that need to be done in the future!

Based on recommendations we hired Herb Lodde & Sons Roofing Ltd. (St. Catharines) to re-shingle our 2 pool houses (the photo doesn't do it justice because they look great!). We are very happy with the end results. It cost a little more than I was expecting, but based on quotes from other roofers they were the best price. They did a great job, cleaned up behind themselves and the guys were really personable. We asked if they could do the job asap as we didn't want to open the pool until the work was done (just didn't want any debris in the 1-yr old liner :) ) and they were as accommodating as they could be given the time of year. We got the quote May 25, booked them May 28, completed the work June 15 - that's pretty good!. They managed to squeeze us in between other big jobs. Highly recommend!

We have just had a new roof put on our house and garage as well as new gutters and evestroughs on the house. We are delighted with the work that has been done. The teams who did the work were efficient, hard-working and very polite. Replacing a roof is a messy job but Claude and his team left our property in excellent shape. We were impressed with everyone we interacted with from Herb Lodde - from Steve who came to give us the quote, Katie and Lacey in the office, and the two teams who worked on our property! We would highly recommende Herb Lodde to anyone considering having this kind of work done.

To start, dealing with Mike was an absolute pleasure. He made the process super easy and he handled every question I had professionally and with good humour. He managed to schedule me in quite quickly and had Claude's team out there within about 2 weeks after getting the go ahead. Claude and his team were also phenomenal. I couldn't believe they completed my whole roof in half a day, and that's including ripping up the old shingles! They were very diligent in their cleanup and no one from his team hesitated to answer any of the questions I had. I would highly recommend the company to anyone looking for a professional and experienced team!

Our flat roof was done in June. Before completion there were 2 rain storms that leaked into into our home. Both times we were frantically shovelling the water off the roof because the water was pouring in and no protection was in place to protect our home after the removal of existing roof. The company said sorry and credited us $500 for the damage to ceiling. The roof is now completed, so far, no leaks. We have not got estimates for replacing the ceiling but I imagine it is going to be very hard to get someone to do it for $500.***Update August 12/22- water leaked into our home from the roof during the last rain storm***
