Quarry Lion Golf Resort

Absolutely horrible. I have never played on a course where greens have weeds and long grass, no fairways..it is all rough...tee blocks are all dirt and weeds..it cost 70 bucks for 2 people for 9 holes..never again

I’ve never written a Google review before, but after being on the Quarry Lion driving range, I feel obligated to. Firstly, they charge $18 for their largest bucket of balls (the most expensive around), which wouldn’t be so bad, except for the fact that more than half the golf balls should be thrown out. That’s my second point. You go to a driving range to work on your swing and proper flight of a golf ball gives you that feedback. A majority of these balls I would deem “unhittable”. They lack any dimples that would provide a proper ball flight. Thirdly, don’t hit off the “grass”. It’s terribly maintained. I realize the place has new owners, but they have to invest in replacing their range balls rather than sticking with what was left behind. I, for one, will not be back and will certainly not mind the drive to Durham Driving Range.

I understand they are “working “ to make this a playable course. It’s been a year and they don’t even have proper tee blocks or hole markers, the greens are not greens ( no use putting) if the price reflected the course I would not complain. Make it like 20 dollars with a cart for 9 at the most. I wasted my money today, I’m happy I had good company.

I hate to come here and say this, but the disrespect and unprofessiolism towards the staff has been showen. As staff from previous years loved working here and were excited for a new golf season to start, we were greeted with zero communication! We only found out we wouldn't be welcomed back after multiple staff members have contacted the manger multiple times, gaining no respones at all. As being one of the previous workers these conditions are very disrespectful and should be improved on, if you plan on working here please just be aware! (FOR THOSE WHO KNOW: Bill even showed more respect to me then these new mangers... that says alot!!!)

New ownership is evident and steps are being taken everyday to improve this course. I am new to golfing this summer and I love golfing on this course.

The range is just fine and the course is coming along nicely with the new ownership. All of the greens have grass now.My wife and myself live very close and are even thinking to make this our weekly course since we had such a good time this past Friday. Only gave 4 stars because the course is still not what it could be but is WAY better than what it has been.

Terrible customer support an staff are just plan rude don’t waste your time at this trashy place, bowmanville golf an country club is a million times better an that’s saying something, I’ve had great experiences in the past but it seems they hired all new staff

Considering all of the previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, there are a few rough patches but the cost reflects that. It’s a tight little course and quite pretty. Great iron practice round.I would suggest a few directional signs but I am sure that this will be added (cheap fix).I will definitely be back with my friends. Please keep working on this little gem and restore it to the way it should be.Lastly and thankfully, the folks that own it now are really nice and makes you feel appreciated. Unlike the last owner.

Love playing at this course, some fairways are a bit narrow, but the greens are recovering and looking better everytime I go. I'm a regular and really enjoy this course and with the special on right now it's a great bang for your buck

This is a great little course that's under new ownership. It's going places. Fixing up the driving range this July. Adding tees on the range. They've been working hard rehabilitating the course. I've been going for 6 weeks now for the Tuesday night men's league already huge improvements. Really reasonable prices. Just challenging enough for a weekend golfer. Construction under way for a small convention centre. It's worth checking out for sure.
