My parents have been using Kodiak for over 15 years on our home and cottage so when I bought my first house I called them and they got me set up and installed the next day. The worker was very helpful and kind. He walked me through how everything worked and where the sensors are around my house. Great family run and local business! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a security company.

We signed on in 2015 with a very pleasant salesman who catered to our needs. We got a fair price and troubleshot some issues with installation and service. Billing was great, installation was great and use of the system was as advertised. We signed on with 3 free months and a promotional credit towards some of the equipment (still cost a little over $100 for the equipment and installation.) Great perk for choosing Kodiak over Rogers or other companies.... Our contract was for 3 years but we decided to move after 2 years (we already paid for 2 years ahead of time and technically have 2 months left of paid service). We move in 2 weeks so I called to cancel since we are planning on living in the new home before deciding on home security. I did what they asked to cancel and inquired about refunding the difference I hoped they would pay us back. Helen was initially very accomodating but as soon as she realized the promotion we got for signing on, she started nickel and diming each part of the promotion and adding those perks to the difference we should have been owed. She is now charging us for the 3 free months, taking back $200 worth of equipment (we paid $100) and complaining that kodiak would not get anything out of this." I told her I felt nickel and dimed by a company that should prioritize customer service instead of burning bridges. Not happy at all. Our monitoring agreement even says it CAN BE CANCELLED WITH 30 DAYS NOTICE AS LONG AS WE'VE PAID FOR NO LESS THAN 1 YEAR MONITORING. I told her we will not be choosing Kodiak for the next home and I will certainly not recommend them to anyone."

Kodiak security is the best in Ottawa. They have amazing service, while installing and navigating my house they had great respect for my belongings, and is very user friendly and easy to use. I can leave my house and my dog now with a safe peace of mind.

I wanted my older home alarm system switched from a landline phone to another broadcast system. The national companies wanted me to install a new system. Kodiak could switch my old system and monitor for half the price monthly.

This is our second home using Kodiak to protect our family. Quality service, quality professionals, and very trustworthy.

Have been with Kodiak for over 13 years and never had a problem with their service. Monitoring company has always promptly called us (or our backups on our call list, if we are unavailable). Cost effective and friendly service from a family owned company. Highly recommended!

I have been a customer of Kodiak since I bought my first house in 1998. Three houses later and we are still happy with their customer service and more than fair pricing. Shawn and Helen made it easy for us to upgrade to a newer system recently, and we are happy to continue being Kodiak customers for as long as we live in Ottawa.
