Kinsmen Park
This place is beautiful and ALL outdoors. Dress appropriately.Outdoor washrooms are small and uncertain how much attention it gets throughout the day.Kinhut indoor washrooms are also small but well maintained.Best to use city transit or carpool. Parking is limited and local businesses need the parking for their customers.*safety* please slow down. Kids at play.

Lovely little park in departure bay at the beach. The beach has some sand but mostly small rock. Various log washed up on the beach add to the charm, providing convenient seating and play. There is also a swimming area and a diving platform.Public washrooms are decently kept up and there is an activity room in the same building (although I don’t know what is done there).Above the beach is a seawall and a walkway with benches and a few tables.Food trucks come during the summer and across the street is a convenience store, The Drip coffee shop. If you are into vintage, antiques, and knickknacks Bella Vintage is just down a side street and is a lovely shop.On a typical summer day you will find people walking the length of the beach, families enjoying the beach, people gathering on the grassy area, sometime sea otters in the water, ferries and boats arriving and departing, kyakers, and beautiful ocean scenery.During other times, people will come down and fish for salmon, hunt driftwood, or bits of sea glass.Small but great for all sorts of activities or just a lovely walk.

Kinsmen Park
It's a rocky shore that doesn't have many attractions. During low tide you can walk further into the water and during high tide you can bring a boat or kayak.

Just started the Music Together class at The Kin Hut. Great facility, lots to do at the park with the ocean right there.

Gorgeous little park with a lovely little beach. Grab a coffee at drip, walk along the beach and get lost in the sounds, smells and views. It's a semi-hidden gem!!

A beautiful park, a fun playground, a gorgeous setting. Kinsman Park on Departure Bay is not only a lovely place for kids, it's also an important cultural and historical place for the Snuneymuxw First Nation. With public washrooms, and a water fountain for kids and dogs, this is a great place for a few hours of family picnicking or a quick play on the playground.
