One of the best places I've ever seen for teaching kids with autism.....They are the best!

The Summit Centre is a wonderful organization in the community for children up to age 6 with autism. The receptionist Jackie is the most friendly person and always makes you feel welcome. All of the staff are very positive, genuinely care about the kids, and are skilled at what they do. The waitlist for a diagnostic assessment here is relatively short. They offer Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) interventions for children (STEPS), parent training (Unity), workshops for parents, and a parent/sibling support group (with free childcare and pizza, open to all if you RSVP). The Summit Centre often takes students from high school co-op to MA/PhD level. If you live in WIndsor and have a child who may have autism, this is the place to go!

Attended for the ABA-based Unity Parent training course and cannot say enough about the Centre and their staff; there are no words for finding your child's words. (Our second child attends their STEPS day program, too!)An amazing center, with highly trained staff under clinical supervision, child friendly activities, and an open door policy for parents with children in the program. There is no where we'd rather be in tough times like these.Summit Centre rocks!
