Cordes Art Retreat

My daughter and I recently spent two days at the Cordes Art Retreat in which we whole heartedly endorse as a five star experience. Sharon Cordes guided us through our own unique work of art with timely breaks for delicious snacks and home cooked meals. We enjoyed the bonding time between mother and daughter who hadn't spent much time together since the Covid virus took over the world. This creative endeavour was a welcome relief from the quarantine mantra being spewed all over the internet. Painting a meaningful picture in two days and taking it home was cathartic and healing. My daughter and I can't say enough of the gentle and caring guidance Sharon gave us during this difficult time. For anyone looking to reconnect with a special family member, or get in touch with their creative side, we would not hesitate to recommend this amazing retreat on a property we would describe as a little bit of Eden.

During each visit Sharon would provide step-by-step instructions, providing the most detail so I could leave with a beautiful piece of work, which I always did! She was beyond generous with her time, whether it was helping me with my painting, or cooking a beautiful, delicious meal. The hospitality shown and received was far beyond my expectations! Not to mention, enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch surrounded by trees and the sound of birds chirping. I will definitely be going back in the near future, and many futures to come! I cannot wait to one day take my own children here for a weekend of painting!

WOW! What an amazing 3 day weekend, simply put! Everything was great. It was my Birthday Present to me and Sharon bake a cake. How thoughtful was that. A part from the gourmet meals, snacks, long chats about life by the fire, the painting was the highlight of course. This was my first time actually painting with a real person and not YouTube! I was not disappointed and came away with tools and tips to help along my journey. It changed my focus and my style. Very pleasedand happy indeed. Thank you so much Sharon, you are so talented, creative, and wonderful!

My daughters and I had a magical time. Sharon is an amazing host and she made our stay very special. We enjoyed everything about this experience, from the venue, the walks in the woods, the beautiful cottage, home made food and most importantly the beautiful; art we were able to create together.If you are looking for a place to slow down and be inspired, I would highly recommend the Cordes Art Retreat.
