Excel Martial Arts Port Coquitlam

EMA offers excellent service and has proven to be extremely efficient adapting to the changing environment. During the hardest months of COVID, they kept my kids active, engaged and looking forward to class all done remotely. The after school program gives parents the ability to have childcare while the kids not only learn physical skills, but many other aspects of discipline, respect, leadership, kindness, etc.I absolutely recommend Excel to anyone looking for a family oriented place. Thank you Excel for all your support in our kids development!

We did a parents night out fundraiser for my daughters U8 hockey team. Staff was very friendly and professional and the kids had a wonderful time. Would definitely go back and recommend to others!

Our Lacrosse Team did a fundraiser at Excel last night and it was a blast. The kids has fun, the staff was great and everyone when home with a smile. It was a great!

Excel MA Port Coquitlam is a great place for martial arts. My two kids started a month ago on the recommendation of a friend whose kids have been going regularly for past many years.I found it to be a fantastic place for my kids learning an essential skill. A spacious, well-equipped and clean / safe environment and a skilled instructor team and a responsive caring management. I felt that the instructors are passionate about what they do.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serious martial art in a family atmosphere.

Our child attends the After school care program with EMA and the changes for the better are tremendous! Child is more disciplined and better able to focus at home and school and their physical coordination is much improved. And there is the double of daily physical activity and after/school care. The instructors are amazing and give feedback on your child’s progress. I can’t say enough good things about Excel Martial Arts’ after school care!

My Son started his training in September and I can't believe what a difference it has made for him. His strength, endurance and coordination have all improved considerably. I cannot say enough good things about the level of instruction at Excel Martial Arts. They are truly committed to their students and provide a fun atmosphere for all. They have even inspired me to get out on the mat and start training. It is a pleasure to be part of such a supportive community.

My now 7 year old son started with Excel in their Little Heroes program. We liked the program so much my husband and I joined as well. We love doing martial arts as a family! Excel really focuses on helping individuals become the best versions of themselves so if you have an injury, they make accommodations for you. I love the family orientation and how they give back to the community.

Our son's birthday party was such an awesome experience here we decided to enroll both our kids in martial arts at Excel.We've been waiting until we had been here long enough to really see all the different instructors work with our kids and get a feel for it before writing a review. Now I'm wondering how we can fit all the positive aspects of this place into a couple of paragraphs.Our kids are very different and need different types of teaching and encouragement. Every instructor has picked up on this and figured out how to adjust their style to maximize their effort, motivation, and learning. They all knew our kids names within the first week. The only feedback kids get here is positive. They somehow manage to pair this with high expectations when they know kids can push harder and do better.My oldest is doing better than he ever has at school since he started at Excel. His self-regulation skills have seen a massive benefit and so has his confidence. We started at twice per week and upped it to 3x as both kids want to go more.They teach kids to be responsible citizens and give back to their communities. For example they held a Kickathon" to give them the opportunity to fundraise for their schools. They enthusiastically told the kids participating how proud they were of what they were doing.They consistently notice when kids need some 1-on-1 support and an assistant will go stand with them to give them tips or help them focus. EMA are wonderful with their program, they are a great team always there to accommodate each customer (parent and child) and each school schedule with the after school program. Kids are learning priceless skills with respect and security at all time. Can’t wait for my son to be old enough to join their leadership program.
