We were driving from Nanaimo to Victoria and stopped here for dinner. Our server (Max) was very nice & attentive!We had 1 appetizer and 1 Entree each. (Pictures attached) I really liked the build your own fish tacos. I wasn’t too hungry when arrived, but ended up finishing the whole thing. If we are back in the area, we will be back!

Chef is creative. Great presentation of menu items. The specials today were excellent.Excellent serving staff, they understand dining protocol which is awesome. (Not asking questions when chewing; waiting for us to finish sentences before jumping in.)I didn’t get any pictures of the main meal but here’s the dessert by Carol.

Thursday April 6thThere's nothing I like more than the perfect beef dip! 10/10My friend really enjoyed the burger, he rates it 9/10Waitress was very friendly and helpful 10/10Bartending was lacking this night 5/10Service was great however this night lacked a proper bartender. Very possible just short staffed on this day, so all forgiven.The waitresses seemed to be doing the bartending themselves? With the right bartender this place could be top-top notch!

Wonderful staff from greet to service to paying the bill. Stay for dessert. The food was on target, the atmosphere...well, we named it The Swan Deck. Loved it, definitely recommend.

We ordered the special after the server assured us it was not spicy(hot) and we could not eat it it was sooo hot. Took it home and added sour cream to make it milder but didnt work. The dip with pita was good!

After a long day of work, we came here for our dinner, we wanted to try something local, instead of the chain restaurants. We were glad, we picked this restaurant, service was great, food was above average as well. It’s one of the better restaurants in Duncan. Highly recommend to everyone

Jakes is not good. Caesar salad was just soaking in dressing. Sloppy mess. Burger bun was stale and then over toasted. Quesadilla was tasteless and over cooked. More care need to be taken with the food.

Portobello burger is a die hard fave, add some sweet potato fries and you have an excellent lunch. Great service and wonderful atmosphere. My sever was super sweet, she was busy with others but was still very attentive and helpful. Definitely love seeing how this place has grown. A must stop if you get hungry for excellent quality food.

Pretty much a winner in the Duncan dining scene. Have been here twice and both times the food has been great and the service perfect. Lots of menu variety. The ambience is very nice and it's right downtown. Will most likely be back.
