McAdam Railway Station

I was passing by and saw the place. Of course I knew the place from facebook but never had time to visit. I am glad I went in. The lady at the front info desk was very welcoming and sweet. She offered me a tour but I had no time to go on one hour long tour. But I walked around the place with my little kid and It was awesome. My kid loved the place.It is a railway museum so expect lots of Atlantic Pacific Railway related stuff. Also there is a diner/ railway themed restaurant if you wanna enjoy the food.

We biked to McAdam and on a whim decided to do the tour of the train station. What a lovely tour. The staff was knowledgeable. They are constantly improving and saving this important historic landmark. Well worth a visit.

What a great experience a must do . Love what they are, doing with the Old Train station. The tour was great the tour guide was engaging and fun. Only disappointment was that the wood carving of the train conductor rotted out fell over. Only thing that would of made it better was a train going by maybe next time lol.

We came here to check out the historic station. When we entered the building, we were asked if we were there for the pie. Huh? We had no idea what they were talking about, but we soon found out that on Sundays they serve pie at the lunch counter while a man dressed as a conductor gives a talk on the history of the train station. We ordered two slices of pie, but both pieces were so large, we could only share the one and saved the other for later. We got the coconut cream pie, which was delicious, but they have others. Also, we were too late for the talk, but with pie, it costs $15 each to attend. Without the talk, it is $10 per piece of pie. I recommend that you buy one piece and share it unless you're VERY hungry.

Like this place very much! Want to be back and to spend more time to read everything that I didn't have time to read having children with us.Wish they can have some events in the restaurant and train rides to the different cities.

Nice place. It was Christmas event. So, we so a lot of Christmas decorations and got a cup of hot Apple juice with spices.

Went up to the McAdam Train Station for a craft sale...we walked the 2.8 km walking trail...you might want some bug spray...lots of places to sit on benches and enjoy the view and take pictures around the train station pond...it is a wood path so watch your step over roots and rocks...I was in flip flops no problem...there was a lunch of ham and cheese sandwhiches tea or coffee and homemade cookies for dessert for $5.50...there is a gift shop where I purchased a recipe book on the pies that use to be served at the Station. Also a train engine for my grandson..there are guided tours available...a lot of history is tied up at the Station

The McAdam train station is amazing. Steeped in interesting history and beautifully restored (the first floor), this is one place you need to check out.Each year in November the community hosts a week long Christmas at the Station" event. Volunteers decorate rooms

I enjoyed every minute of the tour. Our guide was excellent. She gave us a wonderful history lesson on McAdam and its beautiful train station.
