Halpenny is our home and car insurance broker for more than 15 years, our agents who deals with our files had been changed over the years, but their service is always consistent. Halpenny Insurance Brokers were my parents brokers and have been mine for over forty years. My experience has been very positive and I would highly recommend this longtime Ottawa company for all Insurance needs.

I bought car insurance through this company. About 18 months later, I decided to sell the car and cancel the insurance. So I called them. They were polite but the original broker had left and I was connected to someone else. No problem, they filled a form and asked me to sign it which I decided. I was not informed about any cancellation charges and it was to be cancelled on Dec 23 for starting Dec 24, 2022. On Jan 6, 2023, I saw that another installment for the insurance premium was taken from my account. So, e-mailed the broker and was told that she was on leave and be back on Jan 9. So I phoned on Jan 9 and was told that she had called in sick. So someone else would address my concern, My phone call was cut off in the middle. So I called back. Another person responded and said that the previous one had computer issues. The last person acted she was doing me a great favor by correcting their mistake. So I asked for the management. The management was not concerned that the broker who dealt with a client had left without the courtesy of letting the client know. They were not concerned that an error made by the company had not been detected by their brokerage. They were not concerned about another worker of theirs cut off the phone in the middle or the computer issues involved. All in all, I was not impressed with this experience and would recommend you to go to this company on your own peril. Best of luck if you do.

I have been dealing with Halpenny Insurance Brokers Ltd.through my employer for over seven years and they consistently provide fast reliable service making my administrative job so much easier. They are on top of everything we need done like bonding, the various insurance renewal types and give us plenty of notice so our business can continue operating. When pricing gets out of hand they look for better deals. Kudos to Lisa Parks and Cassandra Lanthier, who I mainly deal with. Professional, reliable and speedy service, I would definitely recommend them.

I switched over to this insurance broker a few years ago after my previous company raised their prices. I was greeted by an agent name Martin and he's been fantastic since day 1. Fast responses to my emails or calls. Always in a good mood and works to ensure I'm fully covered at an affordable proce.I would recommend Halpenny to everyone looking for a new insurance provider. 10/10. I wanted to take a moment and thank Mr. Steven Goulding for a thoughtful and thorough support.After a few years with another insurance company, I wanted to reevaluate my options and have a representation by a brokerage firm. When I started my search for reputed insurance brokers in Ottawa, Halpenny and another firm came to the forefront. While both the firms were neck and neck in the initial stages, Mr. Goulding’s support and thoroughness made all the difference.He took time to call and replied to all my emails. What stood out was his great gesture of talking to insurance companies on my behalf and making sure that they disregard a minor conviction. He did this proactively and the other brokerage didn’t even think about it. The icing on the cake was when Mr. Goulding ran my entire driving history and reduced my annual insurance cost by 50%!! I was so pleasantly surprised that I called him to confirm if I was reading the correct figure and that it was not a misrepresentation of information.When I did insurance all by myself, a few years back, I never knew that using my entire driving history was even an option. All in all, Mr. Goulding has been fantastic and I am glad that I reached out to him.

Amazing service, Martin took care of us for the insurance of a new car whilst we had multiple ongoing things grabbing our attention away in the process of getting insured. We weren't always the easiest clients to deal with, and regardless, he was understanding of it all and made sure we didn't have anything to worry about. He was hands down the best broker we've ever had, I definitely will keep going back to him for all of our insurance needs, I recommend him to anyone looking for the best prices and the best customer service.
