Great flavours. Portions are insanely small depending on what you order. We (family of 3) ordered a double leg dinner, sandwich, and a double kabob meal, each with a side and drink. Flavours were all good. Spice levels available for any tastes.The double leg meal and sandwich portions were OK. The double kabob meal is tiny. There is about 4 McNuggets worth of meat on 2 tiny skewers.For 3 meals being over $60 I expected to not be hungry when we walked out.

The service and food were terrible. The chicken was cold, very dry and overcooked. I even spoke with the Manager to inform him about the poor quality of the food, he only said “sorry” with a cold face. They didn’t bother to offer to re-make our food and make our dining experience a positive one. They literally just ignored my comments and concerns. This visit was really disappointing and underwhelming. In addition, the staff just stood there chatting between each other for 45 minutes straight, while empty tables with piles of dirty dishes just sat there. Not very clean nor professional.Management needs to learn how to deal with food complaints and the cooks need to do a better job in the kitchen. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Came here for father's day. The food was good but the service was absolutely pathetic. We asked the waitress to clean our table or give us a bigger one, she said she would do it in 10 minutes; still did not do anything till 45 minutes later. We waited almost an hour for food with no communication from staff. The hummus was a disgrace to the Middle East, almost laughably bad. Come here for the peri peri chicken but do not come in expecting to be fed within the hour.

The chicken was good as were the sides. Took longer than expected to get the food. It looked as though they were prioritizing skip the dishes meals. But I never asked.The art work is confusing. A stamp of Portugal with a photo of a Portuguese city inside the boarders of Africa. But I'd you google the peri spice history you'll be able to piece it together. I'd still say the art work is a fail.

It was a very busy Friday night but the girls who took our order and served us were fantastic. They were very nice and both were smiling. I was so impressed that the debit machine did not prompt for a tip! I did leave a tip just due to this fact. The food was so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!!!

Went with friends from South Africa and Nigeria. As we were eating the very-peri chicken, my colleague began to perspire profusely from the brow and I asked him to slow down. He looked at me and laughed telling me “this is what a good chicken is supposed to taste like” Very tender and falls right off the bone, extremely tasty and you don’t have to get the veri peri. Go for Barcelo’s at Aviation blvd for luncheon or dinner, you owe it to yourself.Follow up: I went back with my family two months later, and the service at Food were both excellent. The manager actually singled me out and greeted me. Even though we are from across town, I felt like I was part of the neighborhood. They are worthy of five out of five.

went here for lunch, and unlike a lot of the reviews we generally enjoyed the food. it's a good deal if you get one of the meals or the half chicken. i personally was really disappointed in the double kebab- the side i got (peri fries) were good, mostly crispy, though some seemed a bit underdone somehow. i assume they are made to order so i don't really understand how that happens. there wasn't a lot of seasoning on them either.the chicken itself tasted good (although may have been slightly overdone) but the portion size... 2 kebabs with a side for $17.09 and the kebabs are the most pathetic slivers of chicken i've ever had. i would possibly order from here again but certainly not the same product and i don't advise anyone else to, unless they change their prices or change the portion size.the atmosphere and service were both fine. appreciate that the food is brought to our table, and the staff were generally friendly.
