HYUNDAI SAINT-CONSTANT

We just bought a 2023 Tucson N-Line from Hyundai Saint-Constant and it was a fantastic experience. From start to finish it was a smooth transaction, we noted a small defect at delivery , the team took pictures and made a note of it. Our sales rep Mickael, always kept us informed, worked hard for us and was very professional, a pleasure to work with. Isabelle, was the finance person we dealt with and informed us very well on pricing, rates and procedure. Sinna, was our delivery coordinator explained all the paperwork we had to sign and also showed us the car and all the options, took the time to answer all questions and did not rush us. My wife opened the sunroof this spring and the wind deflector broke which caused the sunroof to immediately come off the track when attempting to close it. The roof won’t open nor close and is off the track on one side. We were quoted from Hyundai directly for 3200$ and final bill was 3200$ for the repair plus 1500$ (motors) covered under extended warranty, I paid additional $114 for franchise fee for that bill. (4700$ repair in all)Problem:In 2017 there was a recall for the wind deflector on our Sonata due to possibly ungluing and breaking off in the wind. It was repaired and I have proof on Hyundai’s recall website in 2017.My wife opened the sunroof this spring and the deflector broke off (same as recall) which caused the sunroof not to close and come off the track on one side.Extended warranty would not cover, Hyundai Canada direct said nothing they can do, and suggested a local garage to save money.Daniel at st constant service mentioned to me late Friday night either we fix this and order parts or your car will sit outside unprotected for the weekend and it’s going to rain Daniel mentioned. Nice pressure tactic! (Call recorded)Yes it was our fault trying to close the sunroof however this would have never happened if properly fixed after the recall in the first place.Furthermore the car was just shampooed and cleaned from winter and was spotless before going into the garage. Hyundai provided a complimentary « cleaning » however the entire car is covered in grease stains from having to take out the interior for the job.The sunroof doesnt sit even if comparing one side to the other (slightly off).When I picked up the car first instinct was test it, during first test the water seal came off, Hyundai then glued that back.I will never own another Hyundai, and won’t be repairing my car directly with Hyundai anymore.

Very impressive organization, came from Ontario to purchase the cars, they got me the car I wanted with a price I was happy with. And they took care of everything smoothly. Sales Person Israel Mcduff kept in touch with me and followed up before and after the sale, Cynthia in finance took care of all the paperwork. Laurence and Josiane handled the two deliveries of perfectly clean cars and took care of any questions and the final paperwork. I will be back for the next EV!
