Great place for an outdoor public pool. Staff were great

Normally I would give this pool a 5 star rating because my family and I have always had good experiences here. However, all of that changed last night. My daughter who has been practicing for the swimming test finally passed last night and we were super proud of her. Myself, my daughter, and my fiance were swimming in the deep end when the head lifeguard approached my daughter and told her she had to retest because they felt she couldn't swim and looked exhausted. I had no issue with the life guard following the rules, but I did not appreciate how rude and aggressive she was towards my daughter. If my daughter appeared exhausted it's only because she had been swimming and jumping in the pool. It didn't make sense for them to immediately retest her in that state. During the retest the lifeguard was quite aggressive in how she was yelling and speaking to my daughter. I could see how tired my daughter was at this point and informed the lifeguard that my daughter has kidney issues and if she pushed her like this it could make her sick. I was faced with nothing but attitude from this lifeguard. I my daughter was extremely upset because of how she was treated and it killed her confidence to the point she asked never to come back to this pool. I acknowledge this person was doing their job, but they could have done it in a more appropriate way. Safe to say we will never be coming back here unfortunately.

Would normally give a 5 star review but can only give 1 star today because they are closed for high winds.Today is the last day of the season they are open and using high winds as an excuse when there isn’t any high winds in the area except for the Skyway is a joke. It’s windy but not high winds. Weather network doesn’t have a high wind advisory.Poor management and poor let down for all kids trying to take advantage of the last day they can go swimming.

It's nice to see an outdoor pool still and the kids had a blast
