Pathfinder Camp Resorts - Parksville

Fantastic place, and even more fantastic service. This was our first camping trip, so we were nervous about setting up and using our RV for the first time. Not only did Tony at Pathfinder go out of his way to find us a comfortable, easy-access spot, he checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The location on a beautiful spot on Englishman River is great, and only a short distance to Parksville's amazing beaches. There's a nice mix of sun and shade throughout. The facilities are clean and completely sufficient, and there's lots for kids to do. They even did an evening hay ride around the campsite. We are coming back next weekend, and I look forward to many many visits to this special place.

We have never camped here before but was pleasantly surprised. The people running this place made the experience exceptional. We had a great location for our trailer. The family focus is very important here so expect children. It was wonderful to see. Our grandson joined us for a couple of days and loved it. It was very busy but at quiet time the whole place was quiet. It was a great experience and I would recommend.

Everything was fantastic. Staff would go out of their way to accommodate any needs, large or small.Because we were tenting and would have had to carry our water aways. One of the staff gave us a short hose and told us to take water from the nearest empty RV site which was 30 secs away.Thank you so much for a great stay.See you againDad

A wonderful family focused campground. Exceptionally clean grounds, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and very well laid out grounds.Our kids are 2 and 4 and we felt they were very safe here and they had a blast! The two parks were fun for them and the on-site go-kart rentals just really sealed the deal for them. What a riot!Hay rides, basketball courts, and a pool. There is so much to do for all ages.As parents, we were so pleased to see that staff had visitors park outside the campground to keep vehicle traffic to an absolute minimum. This meant kids could safely ride bikes all around the park without worrying about cars.This campground is well run, well thought out, and it seems like the people that work there are genuinely having a good time being there. We will definitely be back!!

The staff were super nice and welcoming. The pool was small but enough for my toddler son to play and warm. Toilet and wash sink were somewhat out dated and basic but I think it's because most of the campers are RV. The go-kart was very fun. The creek/river was fun. The sound of creek water was actually very soothing and meditating; it cancels out all the neighbouring noise at night.

We were so pleasantly surprised, what a great place. Tony and Nicole went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and positive and created a warm and friendly village feel. We loved our beautiful riverside site (nice swimming at the river beach), the beautiful pool and the kids had a blast on the playgrounds. It was great to have a store as well. We barely needed to leave! We will definitely be back.

I’ve been coming to this campground since I was a young girl. Took my family here and had great memories too. I must say that Pathfinder has really spruced up the property and it looks great! The staff are super friendly and helpful. I do miss the Adult only swim hour in the pool, but over all, loved our stay and we’ll be back for sure.

Awesome place! We were a group of 6 larger RVs and booked near last minute because of a change in our plans. We are all on the 60 year range and has a fabulous time! So much to do and the hosts were unbelievably helpful. Will definitely be going ago and soon!

This park is fantastic! We used to stay here before the new management took over and the differences are night and day. The staff are all amazing; super friendly, helpful and go above and beyond. They always greet you with a friendly Good morning!" and are pleasant to chat with. The store is well stocked from treats to food stuffs through to any supplies you might need

We have stayed twice before and loved it. This time we were put in site 45. There was not a tree anywhere near us or on any of this part of the park and with the temperature nearing 30 it was too hot to sit outside even with our canopy open.From our site we get a whiff of the sewage area just down from us. If you want to lock in a site when you reserve they require another $35.00. I don’t want to take a chance on being where we were this time and can go other places that don’t require an extra charge to lock in a site.They had activities for children and and an awesome large outside chess board. Unfortunately we had a 3 year old with us for a dat and there was nothing there for her other than a walk to the river. At night they had a hayride for the kids that takes them all round the resort. Unfortunately it started late and when the driver has a microphone and encourages the children to shout out, it was very loud for that time of the night and three times past our campsite. I’m sure the kids enjoyed it but it should have been done earlier in the evening.We had relatives join us in their own camper but I’m doubting they will go back..The only way I would recommend this resort is if they had more treed areas or if you could reserve and keep the space you pick without a fee to do so.
