Chartwell Jackson Creek Retirement Residence

I did a three week respite stay post abdominal surgery at Peterborough General Hospital and was extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff, accommodations, food and surrounding environment were all conducive to an enjoyable healing journey. My partner Ken and dog, Basha came to visit on a regular basis and also thoroughly enjoyed their stays. We look forward to returning to a Chartwell down the road as our needs change. Thank you for such a supportive service.

I have had a relationship with the whole team at Chartwell Jackson Creek for almost 2 years now. Everyone I have met there, just in passing, or had an ongoing relationship with has been positive, professional, caring and outright amazing to be around.When myself, or any of my team visit (before Covid) its always a very positive experience.I loved seeing the smiling faces on staff and clients. If it were my parents, i would choose Jackson Creek! Thank you to Brooke and the team.

Your communications are always welcome and appreciated. As mom's primary caregiver I find it very easy to communicate with staff who are very receptive. I've been working here for almost 1 year and I enjoy it :)All of us work together with the aim of getting all the duties and services done appropriately. The senior and junior employees, managers, and even the GM are very helpful! Thank you once again for the chance of being able to work here.

Chartwell Jackson Creek is one of a kind. The staff are so sincere and compassionate to everyone's needs. They go out of their way to make residences smile each and everyday and you can really appreciate how much they care.

We want to thank Heather, Jamie, Nicole, Mike and all the staff at Jackson Creek for the exceptional welcome and care they have given to my sister. The staff went out of their way to do big and little things to make her feel at home and comfortable all the while treating her with respect and dignity. We are very impressed with the meals and the attentive serving staff as well as the many offerings of activities and outings available. Another plus was the warm welcome fellow residents gave her and the positive energy that they exhibited. We feel that this is a warm, safe and stimulating environment where my sister will receive kind and compassionate care and will thrive and enjoy her senior years. My dad came to your facility for respite care a few months ago. Meeting Anne and Nicole made MY day!!  Those two ladies answered all of our questions and more.  They are both personable, professional and outstanding at what they do.  Lulu is a welcomed little pup as well.There are so many wonderful people  at Jackson Creek from residents to team members.  Everyone that works there seems to love what they do.....Amanda and Barb, greeting me at the front door with smiles on their faces everytime.  Remembering the names of people who pass by thru doors daily doesn't seem to be a challenge for them.Derek, Lisa, Cat, Betty, MJ and Mike are just a few that I have seen interact with my Dad and Donna.  The care in their voices, actions and attention to detail to the residents' lives and needs are refreshing.Oh my goodness, the meals that I hear about sound delicious and what a variety!!!  I hope someday family members can join their parents.Heather is on top of things, everything runs smoothly.  If they don't, Heather, no one has noticed.  lolThe building is clean and safe.The entertainment  calendar is full of daily options for the residents.Thank you all so much for doing what do and being you.Much appreciation,Lauren Dallin

This facility may appear nice but they seem to only want money and not actually provide the services we were told.If your family member needs any kind of care at all go somewhere else.We paid extra monthly for additional care and rarely got the services. Someone was scheduled to come in to take our family to the bathroom and yet we would never see them when they were supposed to be there. We visited daily and never saw the services we were paying for.In addition the room was not cleaned properly. The floors were never swept under the bed, laundry wasn't put away, and they never cleaned up anything around the room. All services we were paying for.Someone was also supposed to be taking them to and from the dinning Hall and events happening and that never happened.

We recently moved my parents into their suite at JCR. We cannot say enough how pleased (and relieved) we are that both our parents are receiving kind, compassionate care from all the staff! The transition for them was flawless, and to say this during 'Covid' is something. All the staff treat my parents with respect, dignity and some good old fashioned humor thrown in there as well! Moving elderly parents is difficult enough, but the staff have made mom and dad so welcome, and they go the extra mile to ensure they have everything they need.I was especially impressed that they do wellness checks in the evening. Also, a regular blood pressure check uncovered my mom's very low blood pressure. Nurse Ashley went ahead and called mom's Dr, we are so grateful for this!They are enjoying having meals prepared for them now(a big change for my mom who has cooked everyday throughout their 66yrs together), as well as laundry and cleaning weekly! I think I want to move in :)To close, we just can't thank Jackson Creek Retirement Home staff enough for the exceptional treatment of our parents. Thank You!!

A beautiful and well looked after property with some of the most empathetic and caring staff around. 2 staff in particular really made a difficult move seamless for a short term stsy and they couldn't get enough credit from our family. Thank you to all you do
