Come here all the time!...... Only to end up going to Home Depot instead to get what I need. The stock / inventory of regular household maintenance stuff at this location is horrible. Needed 1/2 pvc conduit supplies and they barely any. 4" long 3/8 lag bolts? Nope empty container... 4.5" long j hooks? Nope empty Peg hook was all that's left. 1/2" pipe fittings? Good luck.. Buy a reducer down to 3/8 cause they got tons of those. I don't know why I even bother coming here sometimes... Should just go straight to home depot."

If I could I would give it less stars. DO NOT GO HERE FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP. The mismanagement of this place is wild. I have came here 3 days in a row. Expect to wait for about an hour or longer. Not because the line is long, usually only 4-5 people. But they have only 1 person working. Each person in line will be waiting for over an hour. They do not answer any of their phones and when I did finally reach someone, after calling 30 times and waiting on hold for an hour or longer. I put my order in, when i got to the store. 3 days later, they didnt even have it ready to go. This place is terrible at the moment and trust me when i warn. You will go once and never go again. They were great before covid. Once again. Just go somewhere else or expect to wait a very long time.

Staff was super helpful and service inside and in the lumber shed was quick. I was able to get some straight, clean 2x4s for a project, which is tough to do these days at the big box stores.

Quite disappointed with the store not being able to answer their phone after multiple calls this morning and afternoon. Their inbox was full too. I went to the store, physical separation practice was OK. There was 1 till open (3 closed) and the line up was over 12 people. There was an employee at front of line - not sure why a store can't quickly take a worker off the floor and put on a till.I went for screws (that were on sale) virtually sold out, low stock. Asked for the other screws that were on sale and the directed me to selection that was not on sale. Low stock again - right during construction season?

This post isn’t about your store, it’s about your driver. On October 4th, around 5:30 pm I was driving into Guelph from Cambridge. One of your trucks just about side swiped me when he moved into my lane without signalling or any room. I honked my horn and slammed on my brakes and he put his arm out the window and gave me the finger. Classy!Definitely a poor representation of your store.I have the dash cam footage as well.***follow up and reply to your ridiculous excuse.First of all, we had already exited the roundabout. Secondly, he did not use a signal or even look, he just moved over.I’m happy to share to the video to social media and your comments. Your lack of accountability to this incident are unacceptable and just solidifies my opinion of your store and management. However, anyone reading your other reviews will see this is a common trend for you.

Staff were all friendly and had smiley faces. Caulking was on sale. I think their Delivery is a little expensive, it's only 5 km to my house. ??

My online order was waiting for me... and the lady at the contractor service desk recognized my order immediately and retrieved it quickly for me. Thank you Canadian-owned and run JLs!

Was picking up lumber from there yard on February 12th I was the only vehicle in the yard and it took 10min for the yard worker to come out to help me. When he did finally come out he was busy scrolling on his phone lazy worker

Not to bore everyone with the details of our issue, but the great people here helped us solve our problems. The results are beyond our expectation. Paul in particular spent so much time patiently guiding us through the steps, supporting us in every way. So many other associates stopped by and chipped in too. Honestly best customer service ever. Exceeds all expectations.

This post is about a negative experience at the paint department.I have been to this HH location on many occasions and met with sales personnel that were extremely helpful, so I did not hesitate going back on May 12, 2023, around 12:30pm, looking for wood sealer for my gazebo. I am unfamiliar with wood sealers, and where they are located in the store, so I asked the person at the desk for help in locating the product.The manufacturer of my gazebo recommended clear, Thompson Water Seal for wood surfaces. Before going to the store, I had checked the HH website for the product. The website indicated that it was in stock at this location. I made a printout of the web page and took it to the store, to make the search easier.Instead of getting help in locating the product, I was met with animosity. I felt denigrated. I don’t understand what aggravated the woman in the paint department, to cause the animosity towards me. Perhaps my age or skin colour. Perhaps she was ill, or just having a bad day - who knows!I am writing this review because I think that it is important to let the store know that there is a bad apple on their staff. I would give five stars to the store in general, but zero stars to the clerk in the paint department.
