This is a good rest stop. There is a lot to see, so you can spend a little or a lot of time exploring the ruins of this old coal cooking facility.

Nice little visit on a sunny afternoon. Took the baby and puppy for a little stroll through the pathways. Bathrooms weren’t open although it says they should be.

My family and I loved this landmark. There are nice/clean washrooms and a ranger station in the basement of the main building. Signs throughout the park give detailed information about what was there, what it did, and what happened after the coal mine closed.

It has a cool parking lots that has 4 parking site at four corners. When we arrived, each vehicle parked corner that show a strange beauty.The site is a historic site showing the past of AB was a mining source. Of course it's continue now.

Drove by this many times through the Pass. Very well maintained site. Nice trail around the site. Nice little bridges across the brook. Washrooms were open and very clean. No fee to get in. Great place to take kids. Great history lesson on all the posts throughout the site

Lots of fascinating history about the area and coal mining in general. Clearly well taken care of and the picnic benches allowed for a nice rest stop on our journey

Very cool road side stop, it's hard to imagine how hard life must have been working in the mines. The buildings and over all set up of the place is great, it's an easy walking path between sites. We ran into an issue with a wasps nest on one of the old wooden bridges but over all it was worth the stop. Kids will find the stone building interesting as they look like castles. The bathroom alone are worth the stop, very clean.
