We stopped by Cook's World for the first time this weekend and had a great experience. We brought all the dull chef's knives we had from our home to be sharpened. The man who sharpened them was working on Saturday and was able to get them sharpened right away! Everyone was so kind and for $5 or less per knife it was a great deal. They did a phenomenal job and our knives are better than new! They have everything you could imagine- coffee, spices, pans, bakeware, etc. Highly recommend.

Cook's World has a good selection of cooking and baking equipment, focusing primarily on midrange and higher end brands. Their selection of pots and pans is particularly strong, and their knife selection, while not vast, is better than many stores of this type that I've been to. Pricing is variable; some items are offered at market rate or even a slight discount, whereas others, particularly the less expensive offerings, are sometimes marked up. Staff are usually friendly and available to help. They are generally knowledgeable about the products they offer, though often it is knowledge of manufacturer marketing claims rather than personal or customer experience. That said, the staff can be a good resource; my advice would just be to supplement their recommendations with a bit of your own research if you're thinking of buying something expensive or important. If you're willing to do that, then Cook's World is a great place to shop local for cookware, and as an avid home cook in the Rochester area, I am a frequent customer.

Shopping here is incredible and dangerous. Why yes, I did need a peeler and oven mitts......But look at that ceramic chef's knife, and that ceramic pan, and those spices, and those aprons and wooden spatulas etc.Everything you could ever think about needing in a kitchen, they've got in that small store

I'm sad to say that I had a terrible experience. Purely on skill of promised service... the employees and store are fantastic! This is only a review regarding sharpening services. I had a special request for a professional sharpener and knife expert. I brought in a $400 hand crafted bushcrafter knife with minor surface scratches and chips in the blade. I was told by Chuck that he had the experience, knowledge and tools to get the job done correctly.... with my hopes flying high I left my knife.... only to recieve a call a couple of hours later from Chuck stating that my knives were tough"... I was pretty nervous about that to say the least... when I arrived he pulled out my knife and the minor scratches on the blade were absolutely buffed out

I went to Cooks’ World looking for a wok for my cousins birthday. A woman assisted me with the different options they had, told me about the seasoning process and how to take care of it. Sold on the spot. I then asked if she could wrap it up for me, and she went above and beyond! She had the handle out of the box, cutting a little hole for it, put a big bow on it and everything, at no extra cost! She was very sweet and helpful. I will absolutely be back to this place for some spices for when I smoke some meats, they had a pretty wide selection. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I have yet to need any tool for my kitchen that I haven't found a top quality option for at Cooks' World. I used to shop online, but have found that CW typically has the great quality, at the same pricing, but I am able to support a local business.Also, they have the best coffee selection I've found in the city which is always brought in fresh and ground how you need it.

Amazing, knowledgeable staff! Wonderful selection. They came to the rescue when my prime rib for 20 didn't fit any of my existing pans.
