Uncommon Grounds
Went on a Saturday at noon. Entire place was filled up with people studying on laptops. Most of them probably bought a single coffee and took up space for hours. I made plans to meet a friend and was extremely lucky that as I was waiting for my company for 15 minutes a single table opened up and I snagged it. I dont think I saw another table open the rest of the time we were there.

Overall, great place for students to hang out and enjoy a quick snack between classes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the drinks are excellent. More specifically, I would recommend their Italian Soda, matcha lattes, bagels and cookies. The cookies are huge for their price and always satisfy a sweet tooth. The bagels are from Izzy’s Bagel Co. and are delicious. The Italian Soda and matcha lattes are both great pick-me ups throughout the day. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the foods are hit or miss and the cafe is typically bustling. The brownies are not great and neither are the oatcakes, and it can be extremely difficult to find a place to sit during the lunch rush. However, if you stick with their signature foods and are only intending to drop in quickly to pick up your food/drink, you’ll be sure to enjoy your visit.

Amazing coffee!! Love the maple syrup and perfect amount of cream cheese on a bagel! Bagels are chewy like Montreal style:) and they have chocolate chip

Stopped here for coffee twice during our visit to Halifax. Takes the top spot for best coffee I had during the entire trip. Staff were friendly. Space is unique being somewhat underground.

Love the consistent hours! Lots of great food and drink choices! The staff is great (not too long ago the word of mouth was the staff there was pretty rude/cranky/stone faced type but you must have changed out staff or something).

Lovely, coffee shop. Great breakfast. Love their cheddar cheese bagel. Amazing coffee. Had a cafe breve. Really warm baristas.Had a breakfast there. Stumbled upon it while was visiting Halifax.
