Creative Expressions Music Academy

Cory has worked with my daughter and she really has improved. She has had teachers in the past. Never has she had such a positive experience. She is constantly on the piano without being asked. Thank you for the encouragement. She really has grown!

My son (age 8) started lessons with Corey just a few months ago. Corey is very patient and kind, clearly great with kids, and is helping encourage my son's love of music. Corey also does a great job keeping parents informed with helpful, clear and professional communications. I would highly recommend Corey to anyone wanting to learn piano.

Our daughter, Anya really had a wonderful time learning from both of her teachers. Teacher Gemma, her voice teacher and Teacher Amy her piano teacher. Anya always shared to us when she gets home what she learned every after lesson. As parents, we are happier when we see our daughter enjoying and having so much fun both in her Voice lesson and Piano lesson. Creative Expressions Music Academy offers an incredible program for kids to learn music through play and just having a great time and on top of that they have wonderful and amazing teachers.

I signed my 3 year old up with Corey for his Mini Musicians class, and she absolutely loved it. Every week it was one of her most favourite things to look forward to, and with COVID it was one of the things she missed the most. During COVID I decided to take piano lessons, and started doing lessons with Corey over Zoom. It has been an excellent experience, and I can only imagine how much better it will be when I get to do my lessons in person. I highly recommend Corey. He is wonderful for both kids and adults!Update: It's been 2 years and my child is now doing individual classes and still loving it.Update 2: it's now been 3 years, my oldest is still taking and loving lessons with Corey. My youngest is now in mini musicians with Cheryl and is excited to attend every week.

Our first year with CEMA and the program has exceeded my expectations! Cheryl is my sons teacher and she has fostered the love of music he has. He comes home and practices what he has been taught. He is eager to learn more. Mini musicians is highly recommended to anyone with kids of age. The frequent recitals is such a great way to showcase their development and see what they can be by watching the “big kids”.Can’t wait to see my son grow with CEMA, as I believe we are in for the long haul.

Corey is the best teacher I could have ever asked for to teach my daughter piano. She was shy and reserved until he started teaching and playing games to make it fun and exciting. Now I can’t keep her off the piano! His teaching methods are spectacular and amazing! He makes the student feel so comfortable and proud of themselves. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for a piano teacher!!

Corey is such a great teacher! He is so patient and makes learning piano fun for kids. He's passionate at what he does that our kid has started to love playing piano and learning more about music in general. We're looking forward to our youngest learning from him as well!

Corey is such a great teacher and very patient with my daughter! She has a learning disability and he did research on the best way to teach her and songs she can understand to play. He makes it fun for her that she loves learning to play and enjoys her lessons and never feels discouraged when she doesn't understand something because he helps her to understand it. By far the best place to get piano lessons from!!

We've been clients of creative expressions music academy for 2 years now and can't say enough wonderful things about their programming. Our 8 year old son takes voice lessons with Gemma who is wonderful with kids, super bubbly and has a degree in musical theater from England! She always works with music the kids enjoy and is so creative at breaking them down to teach to the kiddos. Our son loves her class and is taking a summer workshop with her too!Corey is wills piano teacher and the curriculum, games, challenges and recitals keep children engaged, excited and committed to continuous learning. Corey is a tremendous mentor to kids and is so positive to work with!!The academy also offer drums guitar violin jazz piano and they're constantly growing to meet the demands of their growing client roster. Located in homes around transcona, Elmwood, North Kildonan- this is the place you want to bring your kiddos to learn an instrument!!! :)

Corey is a delight. As an adult student, I’ve been inspired by his incredible skill, enthusiasm and passion to teach his craft. If I had a piano teacher like Corey when I was a kid, I probably wouldn’t have quit lessons as a “bored” 11-year-old. Corey engages his students; he has fun by creating games and contests to motivate practice, and deepen learning. I started lessons this fall and Corey has helped me reignite my joy for self-expression through playing. Thrilled to recommend him.
