St-Viateur Bagel

Never had a good bagel like this in my life !Prices are okay and lineups depends on days and time of the day when i came in there was only 2-3 people ahead of me.Only reason I personally didn’t put it as a 5 star was because of the method of payment available was only cash and parking is extremely limited outside.Anyway it’s 100% worth the try!

This place lives up to the hype for sure! Probably the best bagels I’ve ever had. The selection of toppings is very big and the variety of flavors you can choose them are great as well. Place only accepts cash, but ATM is available inside the building. Even after a few days the bagels were still amazing after reheated. There will be a long line but it gives you plenty of time to check out the fridges for your bagel accoutrements.

It's cool to see them make the bagels fresh and see their operation. The bagels themselves are good. They only sell the bagels at this location though. You can't get a sandwich. They do sell containers of cream cheese if you want to make your own.

Best bagels. They boil the dough in honey water before baking it. Chewy, light, sweet. Beats New York bagels - by a long shot. Even won a battle in New York - preferred by New Yorkers. During our student days we used to buy a bag n freeze in the freezer. Good old memories.

I visited on 3/22/23. Simply put this place is amazing. The bagels are to die for. The staff was great! They are as fresh as you can get!! Great atmosphere. No tables to sit at, there is a little standing room to the right of the door to eat your bagel if you’re not on the go. They have beverages and other cream cheese products. If I lived here I would go every weekend for sure! This is a must do when you’re in Montreal!

I loved this exceptional bagel joint. They're very clear about their value and deliver it beautifully. The service was quick, bagel absolutely perfect (I had the classic salmon with cream cheese), and the melon slices for some freshness made for a lovely touch. If you're near Rue Mont Royal, go. If you're not, go.

The spot to get your Montreal bagel on!Is it really a trip to Montreal if you didn’t get some Montreal bagels. Built different and more tastier than the thicker cousinSt viateur makes em fresh! I never thought I could be amazed by the look of bagels until I walked in here and saw that mountain on the back wall. And the smell of the fresh bread wafting through the air, any bakery would be lucky to have that smell!When I first had that rosemary sea salt flavour from another bagel spot, knew I had to get it from the very best! And it did not disappoint. The subtle salt combining with the aromatic rosemary, it’s just the perfect combination for a bagel flavourSt viateur and is a must when you visit Montreal! The service was amazing too. The taste of old Montreal. Perfect breakfast. Perfect snack. There are so many kinds of bagel options with reasonable prices. The bagels are fresh because they are just out of the oven.

Went on a Sunday late morning, around 11am. The line was decent, long but it moved fast. I think we only waited for 15 minutes tops. This is cash only but there’s an ATM inside ($3 USD fee). EDIT: They accept USD but prepare to lose $ because they will not honor the exchange rate.Please note that they only sell bagels. They won’t spread cream cheese for you or put meats and cheese on it. A couple people in line with us walked away because they thought you can order a bagel sandwich.
