H&R Block

Not the most efficient place of work. Also what they say and do are two different things. I was told my schooling was not going to be added, after I said I claimed it in previous years, but the guy adds it in anyways and does my taxes wrong. my personal experience we pay $800 for them to do taxes wrong and then we get slapped with a larger bill and have 15 days to pay it or it gains interest. Never plan on going back and strongly discourage others not to go. unless you have lots of money and time to waste on sub par work.

I’m really not one to give bad reviews but this was one of the worst tax experiences I’ve ever had. Now to be fair the staff seem quite new. They’re great people don’t get me wrong about that but they don’t seem to have much training or just experience in what they’re doing. It was a struggle through the whole week and a half waiting for them to finish my return. Was it a complicated return? Great question. It was very basic overall, just a standard T4 and rent slip. The whole process seemed very confusing for them and just a lot of back and forth to the point I was asked to come back to the location multiple times. At one point they asked me to come in again to get my tax information and the lady doing my taxes didn’t submit the forms properly and I have to wait 20 minutes for her to find her error, which I was asked to come back in a couple hours. While I was there waiting she was watching a tutorial on how to resubmit my return. It was really cringy and to be honest I’m concerned it wasn’t done properly and might need to get someone to look over it again. If you’re looking for someone at this location to do your taxes please for the love of god ask for the senior rep that works at this location. She’s amazing and quick, she has a lot of experience. Don’t go to anyone else. I made that error thinking it was an easy process. I understand everyone needs to learn and get training when they first start their job but it’s just a little uneasy when it’s your tax information and there’s no organization and complete utter confusion overall. If they’re going to have people training H&R Block should be keeping a senior rep in store at all times or it’s just utter chaos.
